The Hangover Part 2 Trailer Full Hangover 2 Trailer Shows Lots of Familiar Faces

The comedy hit of 2009, The Hangover, introduced us to four friends who hit a little snag in Las Vegas in a last-minute stag party. Losing their soon-to-be-wed best friend during a drunken adventure, the three groomsmen – played by Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis – attempt to retrace their steps and hilarity ensues, boosted by a surprise cameo of Mike Tyson.

Two years later and the guys (now dubbed “The Wolfpack”) are back for The Hangover Part II and this time, they’re off to Bangkok for another misadventure, again directed by Todd Phillips, but this time somebody else gets lost.

The Hangover Part II teaser trailer debuted just over a month ago and did nothing but revisit the characters, letting the details of their appearance alone bring back the best comedy bits of the first film. It was simple and it worked. Today, the first full trailer premiered at CinemaCon and Apple has released the HD version online.

Head to Apple for the HD trailer.

From the trailer it appears Justin Bartha has a larger role now that he’s not the character who’s lost, and jumping into what seems to be more of a lead role is Ken Jeong, who had a minor part in The Hangover. The Hangover Part II also sees the return of Mike Tyson (likely responsible for Stu’s new facial tattoo) and special cameo appearances by Liam Neeson, Paul Giamatti and President Bill Clinton. Jamie Chung (Sucker Punch) joins the cast as Stu’s fiance.

  1. Epic.

    • *sigh*

  2. Amazing.

  3. Idk the reason the first one was so good because of its originality. Sure the premise looks a little bit different, but in all reality, its the same formula. A formula that shouldn’t really be recycled.

  4. Nice to see that Doug will have more screen time; cautiously optimistic for this one.

  5. I feel like I have seen this some where before! It looks like the exact same movie as the first.

  6. Not one laugh in two and a half minutes for me.

  7. It’s so pathetic that they can make literally the exact same movie as the first one, down to the exact same jokes, and will still be able to get people to pay millions of dollars and call it hilarious.

    • And you got all of that from a 2 minute trailer?!? You are a genius!!

      • They black out before a wedding, someone’s missing, something’s wrong wrong with Ed Helm’s face, they’re freaked out by an animal in the room, Alan makes penis jokes and Ken Jeong says stupid incoherent stuff and calls them “gayboys.” What was in the trailer that wasn’t in the first movie? They aren’t even trying to hide it: “I can’t believe this is happening again.” If you’ve ever watched a single trailer for a comedy film, you know they don’t try to hide anything.

  8. Bradley Cooper said this is the one to be ready for. This one is ten times better than the first one. And I am just excited to see what they get into!

    • if it is going to be ten times better than the first then it might just get me to laugh once or twice. i honestly thought the first movie was stupid and lacked creativity. the comedy seemed to forced instead of naural making it more awkward than funny

  9. I genuinely felt that the obvious venue for another “Hangover” would be New Years. How is that not the logical place to go? Otherwise, this looks mad funny. Can’t wait.

  10. While it looks great and I can’t wait to see it I think they showed to much in the trailer, but whats new, more and more studios are doing that these days.

  11. Looks mildly entertaining. But if there’s no Mel, there’s no Hang Over 2 for me. No thanks.

    • I actually agree with you in the annoyance department – but I don’t have to be a fan of Galifinakis. I do like the rest of the guys, though (who made no bones about Mel) so I’ll still see it.

  12. I am so excited for this. This is gonna be EPICNESS

  13. Woooooooooooooow…

  14. They couldn’t afford Tyson this time? Just his Tattoo?

  15. Dope. I’m down.

    • It looks like the same film Sully!! There cant be any Dopeness to that. :)

  16. Laughed at the trailer, but am definitely worried about the re-hashing. I mean, come on… Same premise as the first.

  17. Looks funny enough for people to go see. Same exact formula though. I wouldnt be surprised to see this same formula again in the Hangover 3! Lol this time Cooper will be the one getting married

    • Cooper’s character is already married and has a kid. He mentions them in the beginging of HO1 and they are seen at the end. And the blonde woman with him at the start of this trailer is his wife

  18. the first one was great but this seems like the same thing on a bigger scale. It looks hilarious and good but idk, i guess i was expecting something more.

There better be a twist. or something that brings the movies full circle. something else forgotten in Vegas that connects with this one would be nice

  19. im pumped!

  20. The first film was good because it was original, it felt new and fresh even though it probably wasnt, comedy sequels tend not to work very well because they cant help but rehash the first film.
I’m sure it will be a million times funnier than any film involving Jennifer Anniston or Katherine Heigl though.

  21. When is there going to be a red band trailer?

  22. I laughed my arse off watching that!!

  23. Is that Annie’s Boobs?

  24. ^^ Dear Screenrant,

You guys yourself debunked the Bill Clinton cameo rumor. IT’S NOT HAPPENING! Update this and let the world know. Already, two stars have debunked it, as well as the rest of popular culture gossip tabloids–and that includes you! lol. Now fix it, STAT!

    Love, this douchebag. :)

  25. I tried my best just now not to lmao at Starbucks. Can’t wait for this one!!

    • where is starbucks in the vid? a timecode is good enough. lol.

      • I’m pretty sure he was watching the trailer in a starbucks…

        • ah. thank you. i was confused for a bit. lol.

  26. This just proves the film will be a replica of the first film, which was over-rated imo.

  27. Wow absolutely loved the first film and I know I’m going to have fun with this one…can’t wait!

  28. Why are people so critical? It’s a dumb popcorn flick that makes you laugh. Who cares? I’m going to see it, and I’m going to have 90 minutes of fun. All that matters.
