Got a chance to see the movie today.I Love it , My wife love it and all my kids love it – go see the movie. Its not your everyday superheroes movies. If they decide to do a sequel, I will not hesisted to see it.

I’m betting this film wouldn’t break any records on a usually weekend. It allways seems like Smith gets big openings due to extended weekends.

Going to see Hamcock tomarrow. Its a free screening, if not I wouldn’t be interested after reading alot of reviews…

The movie was fun in theatres, and the crowd all enjoyed it. The trailers gave away far to friggin much (like two-thirds of the funny scenes and the villain-twist) so in that sense it was disappointing to know the entire movie before seeing it.

I’m curious to see how it does next weekend. I’m curious how word of mouth will affect second weekend box office.

A while back I predicted a significant drop off due to misleading advertising which painted the movie as a typical Will Smith vehicle instead of the dark story that it delivers.

Hancock is perfectly fine, in fact it is even more than fine, It was great! I came in there expecting that the critics were gonna be right, but they were not. The most innacurate critique of a movie by exaggeration! I loved Hancock! It was great, action packed and cracked me up real good. I was laughing my head off from beginning to end. I still feel like going to see the movie again, it was that good!

I reviewed Hancock on my blog. I also agree that the film should have stayed darker.

I thought it was quit a solid film, and I would mind a sequel (as long as it is done in good taste)

Early estimated numbers have Hancock at 60 million on for Friday’s numbers. At this rate it is possible for a 100 million dollar weekend. So, I think you maybe right.

This story wasn’t “stale” at all. It was a noble attempt at a story about sacrifice and duty versus love and happiness.

It *was* hacked to pieces in editing. At least Hancock *tried* which is more than you can say for most movies, much less superhero movies. It really tried to be more. It was just too ambitious and not able to survive deep, deep editing. It needed about 15 more minutes to set up certain things. I can’t believe I really think this, but for once I wanted a movie to be longer.

Yes, by all means Cinexcellence. I think you can rate a movie fairly well while which can point out that at times, a stale story can be carried along by the actor.
