In February, Marvel Studios finally introduced the Guardians of the Galaxy to the public. The film, featuring an all-new cast and setting as the studio’s first spaced-based superhero adventure, is based on of the Marvel Comics’ more obscure properties, and although the team has been pushed into the spotlight at comic stands ever since the film adaptation became a reality, it still represents the toughest sell and most interesting challenge for the studio to date.
So, just before Captain America: The Winter Soldier began its world press tour for its pre-summer release, Marvel made sure to debut the first official Guardians of the Galaxy trailer, poster, character videos and some additional photos before going dark as the focus shifted towards Cap’s return solo adventure, Sony’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Fox’s X-Men: Days of Future Past. With the latter hitting theaters next week, Disney and Marvel Studios are ready to shift your attention back to their next Phase 2 installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Because of this, we can finally share with you our interview with star Chris Pratt from the set of Guardians of the Galaxy and couple it with the news that the second full-length trailer will debut next week. Be sure to check out the official Guardians of the Galaxy Facebook page on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 10:00am PST for a live Q&A with the cast of the film. You’ll be able to submit your own questions around that time and at 10:30am PST, the second full-length trailer will be released! We already have a good idea of what the second GOTG trailer may show from some leaked info.
In the meantime, check out these official high-res behind-the-scenes photos from the Guardians of the Galaxy production, featuring Chris Pratt suited up in his Peter Quill/Star-Lord gear.
