One of the most highly anticipated movies of the year, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, hits theaters for the general population in just over two weeks, but the red carpet premiere was this week. The big event featured the usual interviews with the stars, including the original Guardians team, and several new characters who are joining the MCU for the sequel. Pom Klementieff joins the Guardians as Mantis this year, while Kurt Russel makes his MCU debut as Ego the Living Planet.

In addition to the new characters that we know, Marvel and James Gunn are keeping a few new roles completely secret -- revealing only the actors names. These include Sylvester Stallone, whose role was revealed earlier this week, and Michael Rosenbaum, who is still carefully keeping his character under wraps.

On the red carpet talking to Marvel Entertainment, Rosenbaum refused to give away his character name, having been sworn to secrecy. However, he did give a couple of clues, including the importance of the role and a little bit about what he will look like in the film.

"Well, I'm in the movie, and I can't really say the role I'm playing because James [Gunn] swore me to secrecy. But it's with Stallone, and it's an important role. I'm not allowed to say anything other than that. I can't wait to see it, I haven't seen it, and I've been waiting a year to be able to say something. So it's really exciting, I'm really excited. The fans are awesome. This is incredible. So I'm going to see it for the first time, too. I'm not going to tell you what I look like, either. You're just going to have to see the movie. I don't have to shave my head again, so that's good."

The news that Rosenbaum is in the film is not new, as we first learned of his cameo back in March. At this same time, it was revealed that he would be sharing the screen with Stallone, although we still do not know in what capacity that will be. Meanwhile, his reference to a shaved head -- while it may rule out one or two character options -- is more a reference to his last comic book role (as Lex Luthor in The CW's Smallville) than a hint at who he could be playing for Marvel.

Of course, this still doesn't give fans any real hint about who Rosenbaum will be playing in the film (although fans who have checked out the reveal of Stallone's character may know), but with only a couple of weeks till it hits theaters, there isn't too much of a wait to find out.
