San Diego Comic-Con 2014 is halfway over, but the fun doesn't end when the convention does. Next week comic book fans can look forward to the release of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy and the introduction of the studio's strangest superhero team yet. Chris Pratt is infamous outlaw Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana is deadly assassin Gamora, Dave Bautista is vengeful maniac Drax the Destroyer, Vin Diesel is sentient tree Groot, and Bradley Cooper is a raccoon.

For a look at how the far-flung sci-fi movie was made, 12 minutes of B-roll footage from Guardians of the Galaxy has now made its way online. The video offers a great look at the elaborate practical sets that were built for the film, including the prison where the Guardians first team up and a spaceship mounted on a tilting stage. There's also some fantastic footage of Cooper and Diesel in the recording studio, where Cooper gets into character as Rocket and Diesel wears shades throughout his various intonations of "I am Groot."

The early reviews for Guardians of the Galaxy all indicate that it's a movie worth memorializing, and so far fans have been spoiled for choice when it comes to posters. You can never have too many pieces of artwork for Guardians of the Galaxy, however, and now Mondo has a released a new Comic-Con exclusive illustrated print that is available as part of a limited run of just 150, and can be bought at the Mondo booth for $75 (check it out below, via IGN). UK artist Matt Ferguson has also created a stunning set of illustrated posters for Guardians of the Galaxy, featuring both the heroes of the movie and one of the villains, which debuted over at ShortList.

Ferguson's designs are definitely good enough to pass for official posters (pay attention, Marvel) and the Mondo poster is also worth getting hold of... if there are still any left. Nonetheless, the very first poster for Guardians of the Galaxy, which gave us our first look at the whole team posing together in their uniforms, might still rank at the very top in terms of sheer awesomeness.
