Update: Clip was removed at request of Disney - enjoy the latest trailer again instead! :)

While unknown to many prior to 2014, the Guardians of the Galaxy now feature some of the top fan-favorite characters in all the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The group of criminals, assassins, and killers has evolved from a group willing to kill each other for various to reasons, to now looking at themselves as a makeshift family. However, with each bringing their own set of baggage and personalities, that does not mean that they will always get along.

Star-Lord is now the unquestionable leader of the group and will remain in that role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. But, with Drax's carefree attitude, Rocket's aggressiveness, Baby Groot's innocence, and Gamora's toughness, there is undoubtedly going to be moments where their limits are tested. Apparently, that will also come in determining who the greatest pilot in all the universe is.

Marvel debuted a new clip for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 at Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards. In the clip, the Guardians are fleeing from an attack on their ship that is unlike anything they've faced in their time together. This brings Drax to say they need the best pilot in the universe to survive. Well, not only do they have one man that could fit that title, but apparently a raccoon as well.

It is no surprise to see Rocket and Star-Lord competing for this title, as both have so far shown they are quality pilots. Ultimately, one of them will have to take control to ensure their survival. That will happen as it appears the attack they are enduring is from a fleet of Sovereign crafts. If this is the case, it could be the crew's escape from their home world after defeating the Abelisk and retaining Nebula. Unfortunately for them, Rocket's greediness is what brings the wrath of Ayesha's people on them.

Even though there is an argument to be made that Marvel does not necessarily need to continue to promote Guardians 2, it appears that this scene in particular happens very early on in the film. If they keep releasing clips, hopefully they will continue with this trend and not reveal too much about the plot. Director James Gunn has already confirmed that there will be no more trailers released, so these types of clips and the eventual onslaught of TV spots are the only remaining avenues for more information to come out. As more footage rolls out, the banter between team members should continue throughout.
