The more the merrier. You might be right. While Iron Man and TDK weren’t hurt by opening close to each other, it may have hurt sales for the incredible Hulk. Maybe just speculation.

Honestly, I don’t mind that much that the Green Lantern movie is being pushed back a year because it is better than for the filmmakers to rush to get it done. I just want the movie to be good and have the perfect cast. The perfect Green Lantern would be actor Sam Witwer, he fits the part perfectly. @Rob, Yeah that is true as well. But also, its a double-edge sword. You get people talking about the project with a set release date, but then comes the other side.

Martin Campbell so far has not let the audience down. Zorro, Casino Royale, even Beyond Borders–that is a great film! Clive Owen & Angelina! I think thats the film that got Angelina into her humanitarian faze

First get your script, cast and director in order, then talk release dates.
I know why you want to put down release dates, its a deadline and a way to quickly capatilize on a craze–comic book films–but like I said, first make sure everything is in order than a rushed production.

I believe that pushing the Green Lantern movie back to a summer release is a good idea. Personally I just cannot imagine seeing a big budget superhero movie coming out around Christmas. Hopefully it will be worth the wait.

Have you guys heard what day the Green Lantern got pushed back to. July 17th. DC is a bunch of @$$#0!E$ for putting it on the same release date as Thor. What movie do you think people want to go see. Someone who’s weakness is the color Yellow, or a stepping stone movie leading up to one of the most anticipated Super Hero movies of all time with all of our favorites in it. Ill be giving my money to Thor and Sneaking into Green Lantern!
