Some brand new fan art shows what a Green Lantern vs. Steppenwolf one-one-one would look like. Warner Bros. is gearing up for its first ensemble superhero flick Justice  League which will bring together Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) together to protect the Earth from the imminent arrival of Steppenwolf and his army of Parademons in search for the powerful Mother boxes. While the character line-up is definitely a star-studded one, diehard comic book fans know that one key character is missing from the League lineup: Green Lantern (or Green Lanterns, depending on how the franchise wants to spin it).

Warner Bros. has already announced that a Green Lantern Corps movie is already in development but with a slew of other properties lined up in the next several years, it could take time before that project officially gets into production. That said, rumors continue to persist that one or maybe even two members of the intergalactic police force could pop-up in Justice League, offering fans a brief introduction to the team before they embark on their own film.

With that in mind, Artist Bosslogic partnered up with Kingsletter to create a nifty poster featuring Steppenwolf battling a hero who is presumed to be Green Lantern's be Hal Jordan. The art has been shared via the Australian-based illustrator's official Instagram page. The supervillain looms on the artwork and his eyes glowing red makes him look more menacing, while some Parademons surround him. Hal, on the other hand, emits his signature green light as it tries to counteract the darkness that Steppenwolf brings. Check out the cool image below:

"No more Lanterns" naa fam, we here! - lights out version #justiceleague poster with @kingsletter we had to add him in just in case :) #ifyoulikeitputaringonit ? A post shared by Bosslogic (@bosslogic) on

This is not the first time that Bosslogic and Kingsletter have collaborated together. The two have previously worked on two new Justice League posters featuring Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman strategically placed in different sections of the artwork fighting Darkseid.

At this point, there is no direct indication that a member of the Green Lantern Corps will make an appearance in Justice League. The closest we have come to them is a reference to the group in the ensemble flick's trailer saying that there are currently no Lanterns on Earth to protect it. How Zack Snyder and/or Joss Whedon decide to incorporate (or not) the intergalactic team in the DCEU film remains to be seen, but it would undoubtedly be a treat for fans to get even a small cameo from the patrol officers.
