I thought the rapper/actor Common was the ideal choice to play Green Lantern when there were talks of the Justice League last year. Why wouldn’t the studio write a version of the Green Lantern as John Stewart and just keep Common in the role???

Is Hollywood still not ready to see a black man as a superhero even in an age when we have the first black president?

I dnt knw what there calling the city but I do know that they sent a location team to LA to take photos of downtown and that they were going to recreate it in Austrialia. ???

What’s kinda weird about this film is that the story takes place in Los Angeles but its being filmed in Australia,,,

I would say this is the single comic hero film I’m most excited about. I lost most of my excitement for Thor with the casting news. I expect Iron Man 2 to be more of the same as Iron man one pretty entertaining, but nothing special and We know nothing about Captain America except it’s a film about Captain America who I’m not really that big of a fan of. So GL for me. Though I do prefer Stewart as the Lantern this is still cool.

all i will say is if warner have the sense to stick to the source material then they may just pull it off – the concept art was on the money with the costume – lets prey they get somebody to emmulate this character (hal jordan) or there will be a lot of p****d off fans out there

They have a great budget, proven director, great script from what I hear, the Hal Jordan character (he is the most popular but I do hope that Stewart and Gardiner get to make appearances in this franchise)..now they need to market it properly..go viral..oh and make a good finished product..I think it’s a big mistake to release this in the summer..they should have gone with a November release date..but it will be a great film if they stay true to the character and source material…This is one of my most anticipated films along with Captain AMerica, Thor and Avengers…

Haha. Yes, that “perhaps” makes all the difference. Personally, I’m more excited about Iron Man 2 and Thor, but Green Lantern has a HUGE fan base so this is definitely one of the more anticipated comic book adaptations in the pipeline.
