oh, i will want to see that movies

790 says:

Let’s hope Clint can pull it off.

I hope the title of the film isn’t Grand Torino.

Niall says:

If it is a Dirty Harry film then I’d assume that it’s only a working title. If it is a low key drama- Gran Torino could be it.

dave says:

I’d really like to see Clint make one more mainstream film before he retires from acting. Then he can focus solely on dramatic stuff for the Oscars.

I’m hoping that this is a working title, and filmjerk is simply referring to a completely different script. It would be a pretty big coincidence, though.

The real smoking gun may be the fact that no one has been able to validate either story yet. After a week of speculation, I really expected the studio to resolve the issue today.

Niall says:

Dave,
The speculation is fun though, isn’t it?

Niall

dave says:

Oh definitely. It’s also fun to see Clint getting so much attention.

I think the idea has caught on because it represents the Clint Eastwood most people grew up with. It’s hard for me to think of him as *only* an Oscar favorite now, because this current phase is just a small part of his long career.

Hirogen says:

Gran Torino eh? Look out this doesn’t end up the new new Starsky And Hutch :P

790 says:

Not that Clint needs to go out in style I felt his last best film was “Unforgiven”.
That seemed like almost a great sequel to “Outlaw Josie Whales”

Go ahead, make my day. (Needs to go up in the quote rotation).

Heath says:

It seems to make sense, actually, and not a bad plot idea. However, on the other side of the coin, Dirty Harry was a bigot, too. At least his fellow cops did in the first (AWESOME) flick.

790 says:

I don’t remember Callahan being a bigot?

Heath says:

remember when he got the new partner–he’s obviously not a bigot, but the other cop said he hates everyone (including white people, which made it funny).

heath

790 says:

Well that’s how office related rumors get started Heath.

I think that line was nothing more than a way to convey he’s a intense badass. That dosnt give a crap about you if you can’t keep up with him.

Heath says:

Not an office rumor, just how they set up Harry, like you said.

heath

790 says:

Well yea the way you typed it looked like you were serious.
^
I just hope the opening scene isn’t Harry in line to get a flu-shot,when all of a sudden there’s a masked robber demanding all the Oxycotton.

And please o please keep Sandra Loch of the set.

790 says:

All this Callahan talk. Now I find myself watching “the Enforcer”.

I blame you Heath.
Jk. =-)

Jae Senn says:

Do you suppose Eastwood will fracture his wrist when he fires his .44 Magnum in this film?

Or will they downgrade his weapon to a .357 just to reduce the likelihood of Eastwood breaking a bone or two from the recoil?

He’s definitely not gonna use an Automag again, that’s for sure!

Dirk says:

Some hopeful speculation? Or the real deal?

Harry says:

I think it is a Dirty Harry film, why else would Warner keep it secret? They don’t keep a small, personal film a secret for this long.
