In the interest of trying to increase the community feel here at Screen Rant, I’ve added Google Friend Connect to the right sidebar here on the site. That means you can become a friend of Screen Rant via Google or other OpenSocial-supported type accounts. You can read all about it here and check out the video below for a quick explanation of how it all works.
Basically if you have a Google account (and who doesn’t?) it’s a piece of cake to sign up.
Will I keep it on the site? At this point, I don’t know for sure. I’ll be playing around with adding some of their widgets, like giving visitors the ability to review posts and such.
So go ahead and join, I’m lonely all by myself there on the right. It might be fun.
Around the web:

No, google is evil and is trying to take over the world, one internet connection at a time…
I don’t think I remember my google account info, I mainly only use yahoo… I know it’s cooler to say google now-a-days, but what can I say, I guess I’m not cool…
Resistance is futile…
@Ken
For someone who’s avatar is the Terminators head, I find it odd that you’re resisting the one company that may actually become Cyberdyne.
Glad to be a Google Friend Vic.
I’m in. Google owns me at this point…
that was good Joshi.
Joshi, they are competition for Skynet. We want sole ownership of the world.
Funny, I thought they were competing with Wikipedia’s Empire (why else is their logo the Death Star?).
And really, if we wanted to see anyone go head to head, it’d be the Sith vs the Terminators.
Oddly enough I never use google. I only use Yahoo. All the sites are essentially the exact same thing i just prefer the look of yahoo. As search engines I get the same results no matter which site I use.
