<description>I posted this over in the Punisher 2 comments, but I think two big reasons why Lionsgate are moving forward with the film:

1. Rights will revert back to Marvel.

2. Strike potential gives L.G. more movies in the can, ready to go if the strike happens.

Reality TV will overtake TV if this happens, btw; remember the writers strike in the 1980s? Shudder...bad, bad TV. Letterman stunk, and even at 10 or 11 years old, I could tell it stunk.

<description>Not that I necessarily know that &quot;Punisher 2&quot; will be good, but I wouldn&#039;t lump it in with the more recent announcements about &quot;Thor&quot; and &quot;JLA&quot;.

&quot;Punisher 2&quot; has been in screenplay mode since the end of 2006 as compared to the others you mentioned that seem to be just a month or two old.

I still think that making a movie based on this franchise isn&#039;t a great idea. What the heck differentiates it from any other war movie?
