Seen them all GK333, “Hurt Locker” and “Moon” will both be dvd purchases for me. The Hurt Locker is one of those engaging films that you can’t look away from. Moon’s plot slowly builds on you as it unravels. Its a powerful sci-fi conspiracy film.

I’m not sure I’m interested in seeing “The Road” again. Its definitely worth a look if you havnt seen it but there’s not much of a re watch factor. (IMO)

GK333, nobody wants too see a film about the near future…

I think its obvious why “The Road” was strictly limited. Same with Moon, and again Hurt Locker.

I’m actually stunned that The Road never got a bigger release than it did..I was hoping Viggo would get his Oscar for this one but the “buzz” is not there it seems..

You are absolutely right, he was the only thing in Gamer worth watching.

This season of Dexter started well, but I thought it got kinda dull in the middle, but my god did it pick up at the end. I wonder how much longer it can go on for though, I wonder if the joke is starting to wear thin if you know what I mean, maybe next season should be the last, end on a high!

Yah, Dexter, I mean Michael C Hall, was the most entertaining part of Gamer, lol. I know a lot of people and critics hated that movie, but I’m sorry, it was almost worth it just to see Dexter do a song and dance number…

And him letting Gerard Butler scratch him in the chest just so he can pretend to be Bruce Lee from Enter the Dragon was simply classic, lol.

Great to see David Duchovny getting a nomination, he deserves it, I never thought he would be able to escape the character of Fox Mulder, but now I only think of him as Hank Moody!

Ken I’m not a fan of Dextar but I do love House. I once saw a short that said Everybody lies and I wanted it so bad lol. Also one that said “As a great man once said You can’t always get what you want” – DR. House

Anyway, I hope nobody really needs some group of snobs to tell us what is good and what isn’t. But I still want Dexter or House to win since it’ll bring good publicity, which means more viewers, which means more seasons, lol. Just bought a T-shirt for my friend for Christmas that says “Don’t make me go Dexter on you.”

Yeah Daniel, I couldn’t believe, “Hurt Locker” got the distribution kick in the balls, treatment it did, until I realised it was more than likely the content of the films subtle anti-war angle, going against the pro war MSM grain,,,
I’m lucky here in Pasadena there’s a theatre that gets all the limited releases so I had a chance to see it. Amazing film.

At first I also was going to question Robert Downey Jr’s nomination in Sherlock Holmes in a “musical or comedy” category. Or Daniel Day Lewis in ’9′, for that matter. (Isn’t 9 animated?) And I love Meyrl Streep. Always have But TWO nominations in the SAME category?!

I don’t even see a nod for the best comedy of this year, Sunshine Cleaning. Heck, why not Amy Adams to replace a Streep nom? Adams was even entertaining in the Night of The Museum II.

Then, I just remembered.

These are the Golden Globes we are talking about. The most useless, banal, and overexposed awards ceremony known to mankind.
