In God of War, the Abandon Ship set of collectible artifacts can be found across the Lake of Nine and gathered as players complete the "Path to the Mountain" chapter of the game. The Lake of Nine has several instances where the water levels drop as the World Serpent, Jormungandr, moves his body out of the lake. Since the Lake of Nine is an area that Kratos and Atreus will repeatedly travel through during God of War's main story, players can grab all nine Abandon Ship artifacts more easily than the other groups.

Any time an artifact from any set has been found, players can sell their newly acquired treasure to either Brok or Sindri in order to get more Hacksilver in God of War. If players can manage to find all nine of the Abandon Ship artifacts, they'll be able to earn 15,300 Hacksilver, which goes a long way toward upgrades throughout God of War. Additionally, finding each of the Abandon Ship artifacts rewards Kratos with more XP, and a bonus amount of XP once all nine are located.

The Abandon Ship artifacts are split into several locations in God of War, with four around the Shores of Nine and the other five on the various beaches of the lake itself. One of the most important tips for reaching each of these Abandon Ship artifacts is to be aware of which towers lead to which realms because several of the artifacts are outside the towers. Alternatively, players may have more familiarity with the area if they wait to find these artifacts until after they acquire the Blades of Chaos in God of War, solely because they'll have access to many of the beachheads at this point of the game.

God Of War: All Abandon Ship Artifacts On The Lake Of Nine

Kratos reaches out to talk to his son Atreus in 2018's God Of War video game.

These are all the Abandon Ship artifact locations on and around the Lake of Nine in God of War:

  • Abandon Ship Artifact (Lookout Tower): Upon exiting from the Witch's Cave, Kratos should turn right and continue along the shore to find the first dock at Lookout Tower. Players must bring the spikes down to find the first artifact in front of the corpse.
  • Abandon Ship Artifact (Tyr's Bridge): Kratos will find this Abandon Ship artifact on the east side of Tyr's Bridge at the dock. In the next game, God of War Ragnarok, Tyr will become a prominent ally for Kratos and Atreus.
  • Abandon Ship Artifact (Isle of Death): Kratos can climb up the wall after docking at the Isle of Death. He will need to destroy the rocks with the firepot to find a corpse with the artifact.
  • Abandon Ship Artifact 4 (Helheim Tower): Kratos should take the elevator to the top of the Helheim Tower and will find the artifact near a corpse next to the large doors.
  • Abandon Ship Artifact 5 (Alfheim Tower): This Abandon Ship artifact is on top of the Alfheim Tower on the left.
  • Abandon Ship Artifact 6 (Forgotten Caverns): After beaching the ship at the Forgotten Caverns, players should climb the chain on the right side of the beach and turn left to find the Abandon Ship artifact.
  • Abandon Ship Artifact 7 (Stone Falls): Players should head to Stone Falls, go through the first gate, quickly clear the enemies with the God of War's Leviathan Axe, then head to the next gate on the right side of the area and climb the ledge to find the next artifact.
  • Abandon Ship Artifact 8 (Cliffs of the Raven): At the Cliffs of the Raven, Kratos can look left of the giant and smash the boards. He should send Atreus through the gap and have him toss down the chain. Then, Kratos can climb up and find the artifact past the Legendary chest.
  • Abandon Ship Artifact 9 (Niflheim Tower): Kratos should ride the elevator to the top of the Niflheim Tower to find the artifact next to a corpse on the right.
