There was a time when I wasn’t interested in the G.I. Joe movie. I used to play with the action figures when I was a kid, but it was Ireland in the 1980’s and they were known as Action Force, but I didn’t hold any excitement for this film.
Then Stephen Sommers signed on. I really love Deep Rising, and I hold a certain respect for The Mummy movies, but he lost me with Van Helsing. It’s not that I loathe the film, it’s just that it was a wasted opportunity. A huge wasted opportunity.
However, I’m a big fan of Dennis Quaid, there’s something about the movies that he’s made in the last decade or so that elevate him into the “must watch” priorty list.
In the last day or so a barrage of G.I Joe character pictures have bombarded the net…and they look quite cool. With great thanks to Collider and one of our wonderful regular readers “Scott” for the heads-up on these fantastic images!

And.. only a picture of Sienna Miller? They should promote this movie with more pictures of the babes of the GI Joe movie. That should draw in the crowds..

There are also pictures of Duke, Snake Eyes, Covergirl, and Scarlet hanging about on the net as well.
We still havent seen Cobra Commander, Zartan, or any Cobra soldiers.
Also it is reported that Destro dons the silver mask when going into battle. So will should see this. Its basically an adaptation of Destro from the new comic series that has him in and out of the mask often apparently.
I don’t know about the rest of you, but when I think “G.I. Joe” I don’t picture this. It’s all very modern and stylized, which doesn’t remind me of the old action figures at all.
On an anime channel in the UK we just had a run of GI Joe. It did not go down well.
This does look slicker and more modern. Could work, could be very bad. We’ll see.
Surprised to see Eccleston in this, he takes acting very seriously. That’s why he did the Doctor once, which was a real shame.

storm shadow’s suit look’s like a white cloth version of that thing neo had on in the matrix. they got snake eyes look down good,why cant they get storm shadow’s look down?
storm shadow looks like garbage. marlon wayans is a comedian not an action star.
