This is Bill Murray, I would like to tell those of you fans thanks for all the support however I will not agree to any involvement in a third film until the writers send me something decent or worth a sh*t. Yes, it is true I was ready to stop being an arrogant self centered pain and give the fans what they want as I owe them an apology for deciding to do Garfield. But I blame myself only, not Dan. I have been single handedley delaying such a movie from coming into existence as I do not want to make another mistake of that fashion that could cost me my career. I blame myself for setting back this franchise and the possibility of milking fans out of more of their hard earned money.

Caddyshack was great as I portrayed a groundskeeper, the average working class Joe who has made me such a success over so much of my involvement in both movies and TV.

Murry as a ghost could work, especialy when it came to slimeing his old team mates and no one delivers a punch line like Bill. However I am so SO against the younger team coming in. I could see Ben Stiller replacing Murry physicaly as a pair of hands on the team, but hate the idea of the guys being replaced in the film by the younger generation.

I think the Jonas Brothers might be AWESOME Ghostbusters! They can sing,act, dance, and write, you know! Not to mention saving the world from ghosts,ghouls,demons and the rest! They're really cool and awesome guys!

I don't want to seem pedantic, but Zoroastrianism is still a vibrant belief in asia and the middle-east and is hardly an “obscure, ancient religion”. As over-simplified as the Cinematical blurb is, it really does sound like an interesting direction to go with Ghostbusters.

So, I just watched Ghostbusters 2 on-line on netflix and I wonder if one of the new younger Ghostbusters will be Dana Barrett's son, Oscar. If the movie is set in present day, he would be 21 – 22 years old. If Venkman is his step Dad, then perhaps Peter's death would push Oscar into the business will Uncle Ray, Uncle Egon, Uncle Winston, and Aunt Janine. There are a lot of possibilities with the amount of time passed from the last movie to present. Winston could have a family with a son or daughter that wants to join the business. Egon could too. I don't see Ray as a family man, but you never know. I do hope that this movie comes out with a great younger cast, and I don't want to see an exact replica of the former cast. A female ghostbuster would be fine and a more ethnic group too. The sky is the limit, and casting Murray as a ghost is a sign that the writers are thinking outside of the box on this screenplay.

This could work…especially if they have him die out on the job which makes the guys realize they are getting too old to continue and in comes the new team. The team of Zac Efron and the Jonas brothers! Please don't ruin a classic movie! Just create another video game instead.

NO FRIGGIN *RE-BOOTS*!!! Hollywood has RUINED every film it re-booted. I want to see the ORIGINAL cast in their ORIGINAL roles or DO NOT BOTHER.

Venkman as a ghost; No problem if it's done well.

New Ghostbusters; No problem as long as the OLD ones stay with the franchise.

My picks - Adam Sandler, Rob Schneider, Jack Black and Chris Rock.

if done right it can be pulled off but common women ghostbusters i think that part of the movie is going to flop. they need ben stiller in the film and david spade

I guarantee this scene will be in it…the guys at the firehouse have mourned Venkman. Weeks later, they get a call of a ghost infestation and run out to answer it. As they're busting the ghost, it yells, hey, guys, ouch, stop it, it's me, Venkman! The guys look at each other shocked and happy. And, yeah, maybe by the end Venkman can infiltrate the ghost world to stop the evil scheme. Although I believe that already happened in the cartoon where they used Slimer to gather intelligence from ghosts in the Ecto containment unit.

I hate the idea (Venkman ghost), personally. I have really been getting trepidations similiar to Episode I and Indy 4 about this film the more and more we hear about it *coughs* Alyssa Milano and Elisha Dushku *coughs*
