It’s good to finally see some of the Gamer supporting cast that we’ve known the film has for a while now. Most of the promo stuff has been highlighting Butler running and shooting amongst giant explosions, with the occasional “face off” moments thrown in between him and Dexter himself, Michael C. Hall.
Milo Ventimiglia (aka Peter Petrelli from Heroes) looks like one sick son of a gun in that second page photo (although his character name of “Rick Rape” kind of implied that from the outset). And Zoe Bell (aka the stunt woman from Death Proof) looks kick ass, as always.
I know Gamer will probably end up being a high-octane action movie with little depth of character and what have you, but sometimes (note – SOMEtimes) there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.
What do you think of these latest images from Gamer? Are you looking forward to the movie or is it not your cup of tea?

Well, I’m a Gerry Butler fan from way back in “Dear Frankie” and frankly, I’m ready to see him in something other than a brainless romcom. I also love action/sci-fi so this will prolly be worth a look.
You know, Butler looks just like I would picture The Punisher looking.
Butler did 20 tv shows & films before Dear Frankie. Some were very good. Seemed like he might be a truly good actor before he decided a big Hollywood paycheck & giant CAA agent were worth more than respectable work. Take note of: The Jury (a recovering alcoholic, which Butler is), Please (a good 15 min short), Young Person’s Guide to Becoming A Rock Star (a repellently hilarious role, he is great), Mrs. Brown (as Archie, John’s bro – the scenes worth watching are between the bros), & Shooters (the movie isn’t good but he is perfect as the reprehensible Jackie Jr). His accent was pretty heavy still in these movies. Taken together w/a class film like Dear Frankie, you can see how Gerard Butler is wasting his talent in poorly written crap like Gamer, Bounty, PS I Love U, The Ugly Truth, Tomb Raider, Timeline, etc.
Butler would make a good punisher!!!
This movie looks cool!!!
That makes 3 movies I’ll be going in a matter of about 3 weeks. I’m definitely not missing this one.
