Version 1.4 of Genshin Impact is now underway, but fans are already looking ahead at future content like the 1.5 update and beyond. The long-awaited Inazuma region is expected to be added soon, and new character leaks seem to show the Electro Archon from this nation. However, are Genshin Impact's Inazuma Archon leaks real?

Typically, leakers for Genshin Impact have a pretty good track record. Many of the leaked characters for Version 1.4 and previous updates have proven to be true. So, when the Inazuma Archon leaks began circulating online, it's understandable that many fans took them at face value. While not much is known about the region or Archon yet, developer miHoYo has shared some details regarding both in the past.

Currently, the two nations in the game are Mondstadt and Liyue. Each nation corresponds to an Element, with Monstadt's being Anemo and Liyue's being Geo, and Inazuma's will be for the Electro Element. The Dragonspine region was added to Genshin Impact in Version 1.2, so it's about time for another new region to be added to the game. The Inazuma Archon is named Baal, and referred to as both the God of Eternity and Raiden Shogun. So, are the photos circulating online of a female Electro user dressed in purple actually from Genshin Impact?

Genshin Impact's Electro Archon Character Leaks Explained

Genshin Impact Inazuma Character Leaks Archon

Unfortunately, this character isn't from Genshin Impact at all. This is actually Raiden Mei from Honkai Impact 3rd, which is another mobile RPG from miHoYo. The confusion is understandable, since both games have similar-looking characters and art styles. The version of Raiden Mei that's even been circulating online is that of her Herrscher of Thunder form, so it certainly could seem like she's the Electro-using Inazuma Archon in Genshin Impact.

Of course, this isn't the first time a character from Honkai Impact 3rd has been rumored for Genshin Impact. Many fans have speculated Fu Hua would be added to Genshin Impact, and theories suggest the Unknown God may be from Honkai Impact 3rd. Given the similarities in the names - Raiden Mei from Honkai Impact 3rd and Raiden Shogun from Genshin Impact - it's certainly possible the two characters are connected. For now, though, there's been no official confirmation of this from miHoYo.

So, while the latest Inazuma Archon character leaks for Genshin Impact aren't real, the character is at least from another miHoYo game. For anyone who likes Raiden Mei's look, Honkai Impact 3rd is currently available for mobile devices.
