Along with Genshin Impact 3.1 comes the highly anticipated character Cyno, who has a handful of possible builds. Cyno is a 5-Star Electro Polearm user who will fit perfectly as a Main DPS. His entire kit revolves around hitting hard and often, along with high crit chances and constant Elemental Reactions with the right team around him. The deciding factor in how players will want to build their Cyno is what weapon they are using on him.

First, knowing that Cyno will not fit any other role on a team is prevalent. This has been known since Cyno's Genshin Impact beta leaks because his most vital asset, his Elemental Burst Sacred Rite: Wolf's Swiftness, will end if Cyno leaves the field and none of his abilities buff other party members. During the burst, Cyno will enter a form called Pactsworn Pathclearer, where all his attacks will deal Electro damage, and his Elemental and Interruption resistances will increase. Another part of Cyno's kit is his Elemental Skill, Sacred Rite: Chasmic Soulfarer, which will extend the duration of Pactsworn Pathclearer if used during the burst. Cyno will be at his best when paired with long-lasting AoE abilities from his team while utilizing his burst's long uptime and overall great strength.

Since Cyno's burst, which will most likely become one of the best bursts in Genshin Impact, is the key to his play style, that will be the highest priority talent for players to level up. That will be followed by his Elemental Skill for maximum damage and recharge so that Pactsworn Pathclearer can have maximum uptime. Cyno's normal attack takes last priority as it does not affect how his burst scales, so players can level that up at their leisure.

Genshin Impact: Cyno's Best Weapons, Artifacts, And Constellations

Weapon and Artifact sets will go hand in hand with Cyno, starting with his best build. If players are lucky enough to acquire Cyno's signature weapon, Staff of the Scarlet Sands, they will want to use the Gilded Dreams set. This set awards 80 Elemental Mastery at two pieces, and four pieces will give Cyno a 14% Attack increase for each same Element party member and 50 Elemental Mastery for each different Element member when an Elemental Reaction takes place.

Despite the major Artifact grind problem Genshin Impact has, the stats players need to focus on for Cyno are Crit Rate and Crit Damage, Energy Recharge, and Elemental Mastery. All this Elemental Mastery is essential for the Staff of the Scarlet Sands build due to its effects where naturally, the equipped character will gain 52% of their Elemental Mastery as a bonus Attack. In addition, when an Elemental Skill hits an opponent, the equipped character will gain a buff that can stack up to three times, granting 28% of Elemental Mastery as a bonus Attack for ten seconds. For Cyno to be perfectly broken, players will also want to get him to Constellation two, giving him 50% more Electro damage while performing Normal Attacks. However, Cyno will not be one of the characters who need full Constellations to be at their best.

If not using Staff of the Scarlet Sands, players should look to use either the Gladiators Finale set for a massive buff to Attack or the Thundering Fury set for Elemental Reactions, same stats apply as before. Gacha Polearms that help strengthen Cyno are the Primordial Jade Winged-Spear or Staff of Homa, but if players do not have those, then the 3-Star White Tassel will make a tremendous free-to-play option. Whether Cyno is built to perfection or for free-to-play, his kit and stats still set him up to be one of the most powerful Main DPS in Genshin Impact.
