According to a story in Variety, a TV sitcom is being developed at ABC based on the very popular Geico Insurance caveman commercials.
“‘Cavemen’ will revolve around three pre-historic men who must battle prejudice as they attempt to live as normal thirtysomethings in modern Atlanta.”
I’ll be the first to tell you that I love those commercials, but it’s quite a different thing to have a concept be funny in 30 second bits compared to stretching each of those bits into 22 minutes worth of sitcom.
My prediction: Not funny and a quick death for the show.

Think they will have guest appearance by the Geico Gecko?? Maybe he will be there neighbor!!!! lol
Sorry, but that doesn’t sound like compelling TV. There are the occasional exceptions, but the odds are heavily against such a show having any long-term staying power.
