If I'm not mistaken Liev has no interest in doing another, mostly because of the rigorous training physically for the movie (diet, exercise, insert it all). I did enjoy him as Wolverine's Half Brother and was able to get by all of the stuff that's not allowing people to jump in and take part.

They need to retconn the whole storyline back to the end of X2. Then let x3-redo be about the phoenix and x4 about the age of apocalypse. Brian Singer should direct all. X2 was perfect.

Judging by the amount of posts here most don't give a sh$t

If they do do a sequel and it's in Asia. How about Chan Wook Park or Johnnie To. Not a big fan of Takashi Mike. But even he could make an interesting ultra-violent artisticly sound wolverine. Personally I would love to see Chan Wook Park or Johnnie To

You make some good points. I really hated the amnesia bullets. :-) That almost single-handedly ruined the film for me. I hated the CG claws too, of course.

The most frustrating thing about XO: Wolverine was that the opening credits was the movie I wanted to see. Wolverine has lived a long time. He has been through all kinds of wars. It would have been really cool to give it more of "Highlander" approach, where we had cool flashbacks to his life that revealed stuff we needed to know about the current plot. Missed opportunity if you ask me.

Hood should not return. Blomkmap would be awesome. He has my vote. He can also do realistic CG :-p

You bring up a good point. Most of the time when I see people bash these movies, it's because they've changed to much here or there (case in point, Deadpool and Gambit), while the true fact is the movie just wasn't very good from a film standpoint.

Anachronisms galore (the film is set in 1979, isn't it? Cause it definitely doesn't seem like it), complete disregard for continuity (Wasn't X2 all about Wolvie getting his claws at Alkali Lake? Why then, in Origins are they at a tropical waterfall??) and just too many major plotholes to count (why Striker didn't give the adamantium bullets to Zero, I'll never know).

Most of that could have been easily fixed by Hood. The stupid plotholes was mostly the script, so how much of that he had the power to change is up in the air, but he should have been responsible for making sure everything lined up with the time period and with the other three movies. Because of that, I don't think he should return.

the issues could have gone on and on - and i know that comics to film and even books to film many elements cannot be transfered to the silver screen - but even when they do a certain percentage of the audience will get lost - case in point the watchmen. while in my opinion it was a great comic to film it lacked certain elements that make a great movie. was it too long, did they get the characters right, should they have changed the content more so it could translate well? its probably really hard to discern what they can keep/stay. anyway the debate will rage on and on and that in itself makes for great websites like this.
