Sarah Connor has role for Lena Headey?!!
I think that Sarah Connor is the best female actor.
I have seen a lot of movie that she was a main character.
The game of Throne in HBO series will be very exciting because of her!

What a horrible casting choice. Lena doesn’t have the right shape, coloring, she’s too old, and isn’t near attractive enough to play Cersei.

I think what everyone’s forgetting is that Rome was an original story, albeit based on historic figures and events, but A Game of Thrones is based on a bestselling author’s wildly popular series, which has a strong fan base, so HBO can afford to dish out a few more bucks for this. I can predict record DVD sales from this. HBO stands to make a good deal of money, and save a good deal as well, especially where salaries of many of these relative unknowns is concerned.

I am rereading A Game of Thrones now. Long before I knew about HBO’s efforts, I felt this was among the best fantasy series around. Hope they don’t butcher it.

Hbo is a quality outfit…this book series is incredible….think Rome times a thousand with a hint of magic…it’s really more of a character study …everyone is more grey than black or white,including Cersei….though she can be an evil bitch …I do hate her LOL …this is more medievel political thriller than fantasy…hope they order the series

Lena Headey was a terrible Sarah Connor. I guess the scripts were due to that as well, ’cause she had to look worried into the camera a lot of times, without anything to say. TSCC was like a soap opera at times. No more worried stares and she might be ok.

@JJ, I share some of those concerns, too. The budget for this show won’t allow much patience in terms of ratings. One can only hope that HBO will have learned its lesson from “Rome,” though. They didn’t realize until too late they’d screwed up by canceling that show. There’s a good chance they might have kept it for at least a third season had they realized its timeslot for the first season had little to do with its ratings success.

“Cersei is known for being just as smart and cunning as the men who are in power.” She is also known for being an evil, child-murdering b-i-t-c-h who loves her twin brother Jaime a little too much for network tv. I’m only halfway through the second book but from what I’ve seen of her so far, she’s a great role for Heady.

I actually wonder how likely a pick-up is for this show. After all, Rome was cancelled after two seasons because it required such a huge budget, and A Game of Thrones has direwolves, a 700-foot tall wall of ice that extends hundreds of miles East-to-West, battles between large medieval armies, dragons, castles, period costumes for everyone, etc….

I thought Sarah Connor got short shrift in the sseries finale.
So, I am glad Lenna Landed on her feet.
