‘Game of Thrones’ Season 2 New Character Images & Final Preview

3 years ago by

At this point there’s little to nothing left to be said about season 2 of HBO’s Game of Thrones – the network has pushed its marketing campaign of the acclaimed fantasy show pretty much as far as it can without actually showing us the episodes. Thankfully the stream of titillating  trailers, featurettes, character photos, and interactive materials are coming to an end, as the GoT returns in just one week, on April 1st, 2012.

However, in one last hurrah of marketing materials, today we have some new Game of Thrones season 2 images, and a 22-minute preview of the upcoming season, which both recaps the character and events of season 1, while offering a further glimpse of season 2.

This new season will cover book two of author George R. R. Martin’s “A Song of Fire and Ice” series, entitled “A Clash of Kings”. It will basically explore the ramifications of King Robert and Ned Stark’s deaths in season 1, as several factions from the different lands of Westeros rise up staking a claim to power, in direct dispute of Joffrey Baratheon’s seizure of the throne.

Check out series producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss – as well as members of the cast – as they take us through the ins and outs (places and faces) of Game of Thrones season 2:

As you can see, the stage is set for quite the game of chess in this next chapter of the saga.

Finally, take a look at some of the images of the characters that will be new or familiar in Game of Thrones season 2:

Game of Thrones season 2 premieres Sunday April 1st @9pm on HBO.

  2. That was an awesome recap. I just rewatched the first season. We’re just days away from the return of one of the best series on television to date.

  3. I think that everything published was very reasonable.
But, think about this, suppose you were to create a killer title?

I am not suggesting your content isn’t good., but suppose you added something that grabbed a person’s attention?
