  1. I’ve read “A Clash of Kings” and this episode roundup looks like a good start to the second season. As for anxious viewers/readers who worry this season might drag… I mean, it is the War of the Five Kings. I think the difficulty will be the character development because there are so many storytelling perspectives this time around (Daenerys, Arya, Sansa, Catelyn, Tyrion, Jon, Bran PLUS NOW Davos’ and Theon’s stories). And it’s going to seem like a lot more because within those perspectives, there are many more “minor” characters (Robb, Tywin, Joffrey, Cersei, Renly, Stannis, Melisandre, Men of the Iron Islands, Night’s Watch and wildlings) and so forth.

Interesting point about making Tyrion the face of “Game of Thrones.” More importantly, he “knows how the game is played,” and thus can better adapt to the corrupt realm (i.e. better than Ned Stark).

I will say, however, that each time I read a Bran or Dany chapter, I endeavor to finish it just to be done rather than because I’m hooked in the plot. That changed, though, when I read “A Storm of Swords.” So will this season be slow with some characters and quick with others? I’m sure of it, because that is how the book is structured.

  2. Season 2 will be great but it’s season 3/4 that may go down as the greatest in tv history because the 3rd book ‘A Storm Of Swords’ is incredible !!!

  3. Great reviews without giving too much away. I am just finishing watching episodes 1-10 and look forward to the Stark-Lannister war. Death to King Joffrey
