Actor Isaac Hempstead Wright, who plays the Three-eyed Raven/Bran Stark on Game of Thrones, weighs in on the popular fan theory that Bran and the Night King are the same person. It's one of the more far-fetched theories fans have came up with over the years along with Syrio Forel is a faceless man aka Jaqen H’ghar, Tyrion is another secret Targaryen and that the sky is blue because the characters live inside the eye of a blue-eyed giant named Macumber.
Of course some Game of Thrones theories do end up coming true, like R+L=J/A (Rhaegar Targaryen + Lyanna Stark = Jon Snow/Aegon Targaryen), but there are still plenty of theories for the final eighth season to flesh out - like who will sit on the Iron Throne? Who will be the one to put an end to Cersei's tyrannical reign? And what is the Night King's true motivation behind invading Westeros with his army of the dead?

For now though, we are going to have to wait and theorize until 2018/2019 when season 8 is set to premiere. That is exactly what star Isaac Hempstead Wright is doing as he waits for those new scripts and talks with THR about fan theories. One of the more popular theories this season is that Bran and the Night King are one and the same. The theory posits that Bran has been continuously going back in time to try to save humankind from the White Walkers, but each attempt ended in failure and eventually Bran became stuck in the Night King's body before the Children of the Forest turned him into the first White Walker. It's a wacky and confusing theory, but it sounds like Wright might be open to the possibility:
"I don't know. I think it's a little bit far-fetched. But the whole Hodor thing, if I had read that as a theory, I would have said, "Nah, this is crazy." So, who knows? Although I have to say, people are now comparing my face to the Night King and going, "Yeah! It's him! It's over, there's no question about it!" And I'm like, "I don't look that much like the Night King, do I?"
Another popular fan theory that Wright discussed is that Bran will eventually warg into Viserion, the Night King's newly turned blue fire-wielding weapon that easily tore down a chunk of the wall in the season 7 finale. Here are Wright's thoughts on the theory:
"That would be good, if he could warg into him. But I don't know what the logistics of that are now, considering he's under the control of the White Walkers and the Night King. Why hasn't Bran ever just warged into the zombies and stopped him? I don't know if he can do that. Who knows whether he actually can warg into Viserion, if that ever were to occur."
While fans want Bran to eventually warg into a dragon and fulfill the promise from the original Three-eyed Raven that, "You will never walk again Bran, but you will fly," Wright does make a valid point that if Bran did have the power to warg into something powerful like a dragon or the White Walkers to stop the threat, why hasn't he yet? Of course Bran is still young and still has a lot to learn about being the Three-eyed Raven, but with only six episodes left he's going to have to learn fast if he wants to warg into a dragon, let alone an undead one.
