This looks like it should be called “John Carter of The Mall”. Weren’t there any actors over the age of twenty available? Why didn’t Disney just send Hannah Montana to Mars and let someone else make a John Carter film? Put this on my skip list now.

Leave it to disney to cast more bubblegum actors. Come on. Did you even read the book or series? John Carter, is a mature adult male character. Jason Stratham, Thomas Jane, Karl Urban even Vin Diesel. If you want a character actor to portray it properly, change it! Dejah Thoris,young and velumptuous scantly clad body would respectfully bring a “PG” rating. Not another run way SKINNY MODEL. Don’t ruin it for us fans. Disney used to make a few good films. Where’s the reseach? Don’t forget Martians lay eggs.

Did you guys know that supposedly Angelic Pictures has the rights to PIRATES OF VENUS, another Burroughs pulp classic, and according to their site, they are releasing it next year? Does anyone know whats going on there?

Oh my god… I’m so excited for this movie only because Taylor has been cast, I loved his Gambit and this is hopefully going to make him get the solo movie!!! or at least another appearance in a X movie with a bigger and better role!
