Personally I really want to see X4 and X-Men First Class, and then maybe Deadpool.
I also heard they were going to do a Colossus Origins, Nightcrawler Origins, and Cyclops Origins.
If they do X4 they really need to concentrate on some of the characters they’ve just almost IGNORED or only use to make a point (e.g. Cyclops, Kitty, Colossus).
I’m a big Kitty fan and also Colossus fan and was cut at the amount of screen time they actually gave these characters.
I also feel that they need to fix up these storylines they’ve been attempting. I’m sad that the First Class team can’t be the original. They can’t really do the proper comic storylines now.
Good luck to them, I hope they do a fantastic job, but I hope I won’t be as disappointed!

Hmm, personally I’m torn now, wolverine 2 sounds like a cop out, we get it, fox loves wolverine, lets stop concentrating on him for a while. I would personally love to see a magneto movie based solely on his branching away from the professor and making his outcast group. Deadpool, although cool, isn’t well known and I fear that it won’t draw a crowd like the more well known mutants.

So really I think they should just make X4 and then concentrate on the other projects, my reasoning being that the other projects don’t require the entire original cast and the longer you wait the more chance you have of actors losing interest which means recasts, and NOBODY likes that. If I had prof x powers I would just have them make X4, delve into the Prof X/Magneto relationship in either that or an origin movie and really just take a break for a bit. Really it seems that more they make the less quality goes into them and the more disconnects with the original content arise. Just fix the main story and go from there because although all of these projects sound neat, I know half of them are going to be crap.

i heard they are going to do x-4,and x-5,andx-6? if so great news. i want to see the magneto film over deadpool really,but i want to see a deadpool done wright. also first class or x-4 should done the sentinel story wright,and have sinister,and apocalypse in it.district-x would make a great film.i also hear they might do mystique’s film,and nightcrawler,and gambit if so awesome.but beak,anole,angel salvador,husk,prosimian,orb weaver,glob herman,rockslide, and chamber better be in one of these films or so help me lol.i think they should add them into the mutants in the new mutants film they are going to do. kinda like new x-men special class mixed with new mutants,and generation-x. even some of the mutants from x-men 2099 would be cool to see. my list of x-men films in order that i want to see are. new mutants if done how i said, x-4,x-5,and x-6,first class 1,2,and 3,wolverine2 and 3,magneto,gambit,nightcrawler,district-x,mystique,and deadpool.

Finally someone that agrees with me on reynolds. I took into account what you said about the magneto casting. I’m glad someone brought that up because otherwise I wouldn’t have known. I only followed X-men comics for a short while until Magneto removed the adamantium from Wolverine and was unfamiliar with the de-aging. I can accept Mckellen now to an extent. Still, I would prefer to see something regarding his de-aging in the future. Guess I just have to look at him as a REALLY old frail magneto.

I did read. Not that it really matters but did YOU read? Yes, he did say it was my opinion but not before saying my opinion was dead wrong. Meaning, what I was dead wrong about was my own opinion….???? Wow. Don’t really care anymore anyways.

Hang on, so they wanted to make a deadpool movie, yet allowed that awful version of the character to be in Wolverine? Do they not have script or story editors over at Marvel? Why, when they were making Wolverine, did someone not say ” Hang on a minute guys, nothing in this movie works, lets make it better”.
Sometimes i really wonder how these bad films get made. Its a genuine mystery, the ammount of money and talent thrown at Wolverine and they still mucked it up.

RE: Magneto casting. The fact is they could not have Magneto look like a 30-40 year old as he does in the comics because then they would have to explain how the character was deaged, otherwise he would have been too young to have experienced the Holocaust. To explain how Magneto was deaged would have taken too much time and distracted from the main story. Looks are not everything. Given the level of dramatic chops needed to pull of a character like Magneto and have the audience take him seriously, McKellen was perfectly cast.

I don’t know why everyone is so impressed with Ryan Reynolds. For the very brief period Deadpool could speak, he came off as a frat boy trying to sound macho (he was definitely not funny). And the rest of the time, he couldn’t speak and most of his fight choreography was special effects.

What is the big deal?

How am I wrong about not liking reynolds as an actor? Because that’s what I was saying. I’m wrong about my own opinion? I just don’t like him. Every movie I’ve seen him in he has to add a little bit of his obnoxious and annoying personality and I can’t get over it. So I avoid any movie he’s in. It’s just upsetting that he has to be linked to these great movies that will eventually come out. Green Lantern(which I am VERY upset about) and Deadpool. I dunno lol maybe I’m just jealous he’s married to scarlett johansson.

And as far as magneto, no doubt mckellen is a great actor but he just never looked the part to me. I know these movies had to have a certain aspect of SOME realism to it but in the comics magneto was never this frail looking old man. He was muscular, had a build to him and LOOKED powerful and imposing. They nailed jackman and stewart for their parts but they just failed with magneto.

@ORI, You’re dead wrong on both counts but everyone’s entitled to his/her opinion which is what makes this site rock.

@Sonic Assassin, Quentin Tarantino would NEVER work for one reason and one reason only: Ratings.
You can’t have (or hope to make any money on) a comic book character movie with an ‘R’ rating that wasn’t marketed for that audience originally. (Case in point, The Crow)

Gotta say, and I’m obviously in the minority here, but First Class is the project I’m looking forward to most. There’s so much potential there, even with all the discontinuity. And First Class can easily give us the origin of Magneto and Xavier. My biggest problem with a Magneto movie is I just feel like the character can’t carry an entire film on his own, but incorporating some of Goyer’s Magneto script into First Class could be feasible.

As for Deadpool, didn’t they have that after the credits ending where they show the audience that Weapon XI is alive just to set up the Deadpool movie? Seems kind of pointless otherwise.

Yeah it would be great to see. But IMHO it would need an (A List) Director with a strong vision and attention to detail for the original source material.
