I just watched the original on Halloween. Great movie! And, Ross, I think it definitely fall into the “Horror Comedy” sub-genre.

I would say it is worth another look if it has been awhile. It is a classic.

I actually don’t mind the affects. They don’t seem that dated to me. It is the all synth soundtrack that really dates the movie to me.
