Pete says:

Reilly is an asshole, not even mentioning Terminator fans and citing Whedon’s fans as part of the reason why the show got picked up.

I’m glad we’ll be getting a regular dose of Whedon for a while longer, but just can’t believe they dumped the only truly brilliant SF show out there and replaced it with stupid sitcoms. They could have just cancelled Dollhouse right off the bat too. It’s not as if they had ever even given that show a real chance with the Friday premiere.

But DH is not the show I’d miss if it was gone. Without Terminator, network television just loses meaning for me.

I hope those sad bastards choke on their precious Nielsen.

steven the git says:

Sounds like a scheme to squeeze the life out of their scifi shows. Got to worry about the future of quality tv.
It is happening in the UK too. Properly written dramas are being moved aside for reality tv by commercial companies.

Andy S says:

Pretty soon I will be able to cancel my cable subscription because there will be NOTHING on TV worth watching that I can’t order from Netflix. With the cancellation of TSCC, the only non-animated show worth watching on FOX is “24″. I know there are alot of House fans here, but I can’t stand that show. I tried watching it several times and just thought of it as an ER ripoff. I despise network execs.

Daniel F says:

I’ve said it before , but while I am a huge Wheadon fan Dollhouse simply sucks. The show has been terrible all the way through to the season finale. I don’t know why people even wanted it saved. I’m shocked that Joss even put his name on this thing I mean the casting alone aside from Eliza is nothing like Joss. He usually avoids the cliche super model casting, but it’s all over this show. Only roughly half of those super models can actually act and the story is very bland.

Terminator was much better than Dollhouse, but near the end of the second season the show really started to suck. To be honest I’ve reached the point to where I don’t care either way. If it had got renewed I’d of watched it reluctantly just to continue the story I started.

Gary says:

It wasnt nielsen ratings that saved Dollhouse .
Dollhouse is the most TIVOED and DVRED show Fox has .
The lowest rated show to beTivoed or DVRed? Sarah Connor Chronicles .

David says:

Sarah Connor Chronicles was MORE DVR’d than Dollhouse.
MORE!!!

TSCC had the highst percentage of DVR increase of any show on TV. MORE than Dollhouse!

Mandarr says:

Too bad about TTSCC, I enjoyed that show. I more than likely won’t be watching the comedies leading into Dollhouse, but I’ll still watch Dollhouse or dvr it at least. Why couldn’t they keep Fringe on Tuesdays? I agree with you Bruce, it seems they’re already trying to kill that show off by moving it to Thursdays. I’ll still be watching it though as I guess I’m one of the guys from the planet with no tv lol. I stopped watching C.S.I. right after they found Sarah alive in the desert. I just got bored with it, but there’s obviously millions that still watch it. Grey’s is ok, but I’m quickly losing interest in that as well. But again, millions of others are still watching and I too will be watching that show next season. Fringe to me would be the better of the three shows I mentioned here though in that time slot. I don’t even bother with the Jay Leno network during that time slot. At least Fox hasn’t moved 24 to Fridays or something yet.

Daniel F says:

Personally I can’t stand CSI or Grey’s anatomy. Grey’s anatomy is a girled up rip off of scrubs and CSI is boring there is little character development and no emotion. It’s all about solve the crime then next week solve the crime. I watched maybe 6 or 7 episodes and learned absolutely nothing about any of the characters.

Andy S says:

I have a feeling this is going to be one of the lead in shows to Dollhouse on Fridays….

http://www.nypost.com/seven/05192009/news/regionalnews/a_giant_tv_star_170007.htm

I might have to give it a chance. Huge Giants fan here and I always liked Michael. Plus, it’s got Apollo Creed in it. How can we NOT give it a chance??

irv says:

Fox has a long history of using scheduling as a means of killing off the really creative shows. Watch. If Dollhouse’s ratings start to improve (despite the weird choice of lead-ins), they’ll switch it to Tuesday, claiming that it’s a slot where it is guaranteed to grow.

Then it won’t and they’ll cancel it and claim there was nothing else that could be done.

I’ve never figured out if Fox is run by blithering idiots or brilliant sadists. It’s at least one of those options.

Daniel F says:

Some really great shows manage to make it on to Fox, but the people running it really are idiots. They change the schedule so much and are shocked that people aren’t watching anymore. Some people don’t even realize that a show has changed days. I’ve seen seasons where a show has been changed 3 times in one season.

sworn off fox, take the pledge says:

Well, that does it! They terminated TSSC, I’m terminating FOX. I will never watch another prime time show on FOX live again ever! I will still probably view the Sunday animated shows, but only Tivo’d or on line. They will not get me to watch another commercial on their network ever again! It’s that simple and that easy! Screw You FOX! I hope your network goes down the tubes.

For the rest of you TSSC lovers who are mad too, take the pledge too and let FOX know it. Pledge to never watch another live FOX prime time show again ever! If you’re hooked on something they haven’t cancelled yet, only watch it recorded, (make sure to skip any commercials) or on line. Send them a letter telling them so. They will be glad to hear they just lost a few million more viewers! Think about it folks, this is a pledge that’s pretty easy to keep. Even if you still like a few other of their shows. These guys need to know they can not continue to treat their viewers like crap and not pay the consequences. And when you write to FOX, tell them about others you know taking the pledge too. While you’re at it, copy the folks at Neilsen too, they should know how flawed their data is too.

P Solomon says:

No Terminator. I was really looking forward to season three. When Dollhouse bombs with no TSCC lead in they will bring TSCC back.

Darren seeley says:

Okay. Here’s where I stand.

As much as I swear I won’t, I always get sucked in to watch American Idol, and this past season was the best since it has been on the air. It made me a Lady Gaga fan , the mere fact that Quentin Tarintino was a “mentor” (hahhahaha) …that KISS showed up and the talent of the 13 …we can swear off FOX if we want to. We will all watch by week six, let’s not kid ourselves. A friend or relative is in the next room watching the show. You want to run… but you cannot hide! and then…you too, must cave. You too, must text. Or at least your relative/friend in the next room.

Fact of life.

I bring up American Idol because it was a good lead in to the new show Glee. Lots of build up. Lots of buzz. The critics rave on Glee. It’s going to be great!

I watch Glee.

THAT MADE IT ON THE FALL SCHEDULE !?!?!? Is the show a Fame-clone, a farce, a drama, what the heck was it? The characters were either too quirky or extremely cliche. American Idol doesn’t happen in the fall. Thus, Glee is going to suffer a quick but very painful death. It was **that** bad. ***That** horrendous. I can…fell..myself…choking…grasping…for air…

…must breathe…
…air…

Awful
Awful
Awful.

Now, half of you might be saying ‘Yeah! Go get ‘em, Darren! T: SCC should have been renewed instead!”

Not so fast

I got into the cliffhanger at the end. I liked some of the actors…but the show as a whole wasn’t that great. I believe the lot of you when you say it was the most DVRd, not Dollhouse. I DVRd Sarah Connor but only so I could zoom by the recaps and the endless commercials. There was an act break every four minutes it seemed. Very disjointing.

I didn’t mind “season one” with people just hanging around, at least character was built up. In the second season, all the characters BUT ONE were all developed further. Eventually they all became interesting and layered. except that one character. hat character: Sarah Connor.

My patience was strained with the show; I felt I was being jerked around waiting for something to happen. It eventually did, in the last three episodes where it was more or less a Hail Mary pass. Not that was a bad thing. Interestng subjects, discussions. If for some reason a TV film or DTV film to “end the show” were done, I’d be game. (Season Two should come out on DVD like Season One) or if ScyFy or USA network picked it up, that would be nice.

So would let sleeping dogs lie.

Y’know, now that Summer Glau is freed up–whatcha say she shows up on Dollhouse, and she fights some Dolls?

Jessie says:

I wonder if netwrok executives have thought that if good programming were available on nights other than Thursdays, more people might watch them.

I am already committed to “The Office” and “Grey’s Anatomy” for Thursday nights. And to “The Sarah Connor Chronicles” and “Dollhouse” on Fridays.

I hate the beginning of the fall season. Why don’t executives try making up their own new “Thursday nights” on ANOTHER NIGHT!!!

People do watch television on other nights besides Thursdays.

Mother Fu**ers

Three weeks ago id have said battlestar was the best tv show ever made.

But terminator : the sarah conner chronicles totally woops it

Sarah conner totally kicks adamas ass
john conner totally rapes appollo
and cameron? do we even need to go there?
Shes hot, if i was choosing between her and kara, id choose her, regardless of the metal.

THE SHOW CANT BE AXED
its not fair.
The last episode , they can not end it like that and not give us more, can they?

i signed 6 petitions 3 to save that show.

John could totally have banged cameron in that last episode, he wanted to
he was going to kiss her and she said “we have to go” id have told her to shut up.

We want terminator chronicles back
Scwer dollhouse, thats why people wernt tuning in, they were scared that dollhouse was on :@

turnstile13 says:

I was heartbroken way back when Millennium and John Doe was cancelled. Oh, AND Arrested Development! NOW Terminator is gone too!? Really, Fox is out to punish us fans who actually like something creative, original, and smart in our programming. I’m about done with Network tv (thank god Fringe is pretty good). But, I’m sure that will be gone soon as well after they bobble it around the schedule a few times.

Well, folks- Is this a conspiracy to continue dumbing down Americans? Or are there simply too many dumbed down Americans (and, yes, I am a proud American) not interested in shows that are not just churned out crapola. I think we’re slowly being fed Solyent Green, if you ask me.

Boo Fox!

Ken J says:

If you think American tv is dumb, try watching tv programs from the South American countries… lol, you will feel so good about American shows after that…
