September 24th is the air date for ABC’s FlashForward.
All of humanity has a short blackout that lasts for 2 minutes 17 seconds. During the blackout, everyone sees a spoiler-rich preview of their lives in their future.
With the show’s premiere around the corner (and I’m surprised by this) ABC has released an 18 minute preview clip of the premiere episode.
I don’t know about you, but when a network releases that big of a chunk of their newest up-and-coming show, I have to wonder why? Have their buzz meters recorded low buzz?

I’ve been aware of the show from all the press releases and interviews they’ve been pushing out, but other than that, I haven’t really seen grass roots buzz. Then again, I’m not looking that hard.
In this preview clip we have sex, a suicide attempt, an ER-like operation that’s about to begin and a police chase with all the requisite carnage – and that’s BEFORE the big black out.
About 1/2 way in, “it” happens and we see various people in various state of confusion after the event. Some of the carnage, is, well, cool. I can’t help myself, I like carnage.
If ABC was sharp, they could have done this preview thing in 2 minute and 17 second snippets, drawn out over a period of time. Then we would have had to come back over and over for a continuation of the preview.
FlashForward is brought to you on ABC by David S. Goyer and Brannon Braga, premiering September 24th.

Hopefully it doesn’t disappoint because it seems like a pretty decent idea. I like a good adventure/disaster story.
Another Lost? 5 seasons of “what’s going oooooon?”
The series finale is going to reveal it was just a really long acid trip by Harold of Harold and Kumar.
I have to admit,I’m becoming less and less interested in this show with each day that passes.
I have to agree with Huggybear,it seems like another show that’s gonna have you wondering what the hell’s is actually going on for god knows how many seasons.If this show goes that route,I honestly don’t think it will last that long.People get tired of playing the guessing game for multiple seasons.
Actually, I am looking forward to this show. I’ll be putting it on the DVR since I have to work late that night. I think it’s going to be an interesting show.
