Set photos from The Flash season 4 reveal Barry Allen's (Grant Gustin) new suit, presumably made for him once he exits the Speed Force. The season 3 finale of The Flash saw Barry face off against his greatest opponent yet - Savitar, the self-proclaimed God of Speed, who was an alternate, evil version of Barry. Although Team Flash was able to defeat the God of Speed, and convince Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) to not be evil, a massive storm manifested above Central City due to the empty Speed Force prison. In order to save the city and all his friends and family, Barry willingly entered the Speed Force prison, ending the storm but leaving Central City without The Flash.

Looking to season 4, there is plenty we already know about the return of The CW's speedster-focused DC Comics series. For instance, the season 4 premiere, titled 'The Flash Reborn', will pick up six months after the end of season 3. Plus, we know that the main villain of season 4 will be The Thinker (Neil Sandilands) and Kid Flash Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) will sport a different suit than the yellow and red costume he wore in season 3, though he won't be 'the new Flash'. Now, we know Wally won't be the only hero with new duds in season 4, as Barry's suit will be getting an upgrade - once he exits the Speed Force, of course.

In a new set photo posted by YVRShoots‏, Gustin was seen on set of The Flash season 4 wearing an updated version of his typical red suit. Compared to the costume worn by Barry in season 3, the new outfit appears to feature more leather-like accents on the chest and upper body portion. Plus, the new suit has gold lightning bolt accents on the forearms and a gold belt. Gustin himself posted a tease of the new Flash suit to Instagram earlier this week that reveals these gold accents will appear on his boots as well. Take a look at the photos:

Season 4 #TheFlash A post shared by Grant Gustin (@grantgust) on

Of course, it's not uncommon for Barry to get a suit upgrade in between seasons of The Flash, and the Scarlet Speedster has gotten quite a few different costumes over the course of the show's three seasons. The suit's emblem has received an obvious upgrade since season 1 - which was pointed out in season 3 when the show revisited a season 1 episode. However, the biggest difference in Barry's season 4 suit is the gold accents, which brings the Flash costume more in line with the character's comic book design.

That said, it's unclear when exactly fans will get to see Barry's newest suit in The Flash. Since the show started filming season 4 earlier this month, they could be shooting episode three or four by now. It should come as no surprise to fans of the series that Barry will exit the Speed Force so soon in the new season - he is the lead character, after all, and there is a time jump between seasons. Plus, his return was even teased in the Comic-Con trailer for The Flash.

How exactly Barry's time in the Speed Force affects him remains to be seen, though we know it won't have been particularly kind to him given what we've seen other characters endure. But, now fans can at least get an idea of what suit Barry will sport in The Flash season 4.
