During the summer hiatus, there were plenty of changes made to The CW's DC Comics TV universe that became apparent in each show's premiere. Arrow restructured its core team, Supergirl moved to a new network and began forging a new path, the group on Legends of Tomorrow have a new mission, and on The Flash Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) created the Flashpoint timeline -- then changed his original timeline irrevocably by trying to set it back in place.

One of the consequences of Flashpoint that Barry has been dealing with in the early episodes of season 3 is the arrival of Dr. Alchemy, who is granting powers to people who were metahumans in the alternate timeline. Additionally, 'Magenta' reintroduced Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and his daughter Jesse (Violett Beane) -- the latter of which now has speedster powers -- to Earth-1. Now, in the trailer for next week's episode, Jesse Quick and The Flash team up to take on a new team of rogues.

Released by The CW, the trailer for 'The New Rogues' [above] features a first look at Jesse in costume as her speedster alter-ego, as well as the introduction of Grey Damon as Rogues Gallery staple Mirror Master. According to the synopsis for 'The New Rogues', the episode will also feature the debut of Ashley Rickards as Top and the return of Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller). Take a look at the synopsis:

WENTWORTH MILLER RETURNS AS CAPTAIN COLD; MIRROR MASTER AND THE TOP BATTLE WITH THE FLASH — Barry (Grant Gustin) continues to train Jesse (guest star Violett Beane) and when a new meta human, Mirror Master (guest star Grey Damon), appears on the scene he lets her tag along. Mirror Master has teamed up with his old partner, Top (guest star Ashley Rickards), and is looking for Snart (Wentworth Miller) to even a score. Jesse is quick to join the chase but defies one of Barry’s orders which results in disastrous consequences.

The Flash Jesse Quick Mirror Master

Based on what was previously hinted by executive producers of The Flash, Todd and Aaron Helbing, we knew Captain Cold would return and face off against Mirror Master in the latter's first episode on the series -- with it being implied there would be a winner between the two. Additionally, Todd Helbing previously revealed Mirror Master's powers will be different than in the comics since Sam Scudder will be a metahuman and won't use the comic book character's signature Mirror Gun.

Still, although these hints, trailer, and synopsis offer an idea of what fans can expect from the adaptation of the Mirror Master character on The Flash, it remains to be seen how the pieces will come together in 'The New Rogues' when it premieres next week. Certainly, with the return of Captain Cold -- in his first major appearance since sacrificing himself on Legends of Tomorrow last season -- as well as Jesse Quick suiting up for the first time, 'The New Rogues' has plenty to look forward to for fans of The Flash.
