Have you heard? The Flash is finally traveling to Earth-2 in next week's episode, the aptly-named "Welcome to Earth-2". All season long, Earth-2 residents have been hopping in and out of Earth-1, but now it's Barry (Grant Gustin) and Cisco's (Carlos Valdes) chance to take a wormhole trip when they join "Harry" Wells (Tom Cavanagh) on a mission to save his daughter from Zoom.

We've learned a little about Earth-2 so far - that it may actually be more technologically advanced than Earth-1, but stylistically resembles an era similar to our 1940s or 50s. Everyone on Earth-1 also has an Earth-2 doppelganger, but that doesn't mean they necessarily fill the same role - like how Barry became The Flash on Earth-1, yet Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) is the Earth-2 Flash. And while The Flash has been toying with the concept of doppelgangers - Earth-2 Linda Park being Doctor Light, for instance - this upcoming episode will be full of them, as we finally get to meet the Earth-2 versions of Barry, Iris (Candice Patton) and Joe (Jesse L. Martin), plus the villainous versions of Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) and Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell).

We've already seen a few stills of the Earth-2 Allen/West family, and it's almost impossible to believe, but they may actually be more adorable than their Earth-1 counterparts. Check out the latest images below:

Fans rooting for Barry and Iris of Earth-1 to finally get together will surely be pleased to see their Earth-2 versions looking like the happy couple, and it wouldn't be surprising if this has Barry rethinking the relationship, too. However, to be perfectly honest, what's even more exciting about this episode is Joe with that microphone - because if you cast Jesse L. Martin, you'd better plan on having him sing. So while this may not be the musical episode some of us are hoping for, it could be the next best thing.

Of course, "Welcome to Earth-2" won't all be singing and sunshine, because while Barry, Cisco and Harry are hunting Zoom, Killer Frost and Deathstorm - the Earth-2, villainous, meta-human versions Caitlin and Ronnie - are wreaking havoc.

We don't yet know if Killer Frost and Deathstorm are working for Zoom in the same way that so many of Earth-2's meta-villains have been, but they do seem like a nasty pair. And perhaps it's simply because of how fierce Danielle Panabaker looks in her Killer Frost getup, but in these stills it seems like she's the one calling the shots. What's also unclear is if Deathstorm is formed by Ronnie bonding with an Earth-2 Martin Stein (Victor Garbor), as they did to create Firestorm on Earth-1. Maybe part of Earth-2 Ronnie's downfall was finding a way to initiate the Firestorm matrix without the professor or by fully absorbing him, making the need for a partner (and therefore a voice of reason) obsolete.

Either way, Killer Frost and Deathstorm will certainly cause trouble for Barry, Cisco, and Earth-2 Iris, as we can see below:

With so much different on Earth-2 (even their money, it seems), it'll be fun to see what remains the same. The Earth-1 gang won't be leaving anytime soon either, since "Welcome to Earth-2"is only part 1, with the conclusion coming the following week in "Escape from Earth-2". Executive producer Greg Berlanti has already said this pair of episodes are his favorites, calling them the "craziest episodes" yet, which makes us wonder how large of an impact they'll have on Team Flash going forward.

The Flash returns with ‘Welcome to Earth-2′ on Tuesday, February 9 at 8pm on The CW.
