The Flash season 3 finale aired last week, and now fans can get a behind-the-scenes look at what went into the episode. And while Iris survived, not every member of Team Flash made it through -- HR (Tom Cavanagh) sacrificed himself to save Iris, and even Barry (Grant Gustin) himself ended the episode by walking away from Central City and into the Speed Force itself.

It was a season finale that has sparked an incredible amount of speculation; whether Barry is really gone, and the show will be focusing on Wally West as the Flash for the next season, whether Barry will return, but as the villain, whether the final moments of the finale herald a season of even more speedsters, and whether Savitar's words point toward the Thinker as the villain for season 4. Team Flash and The CW may not be answering any of these questions, but they have now released a behind-the-scenes video, looking back at the finale, rather than toward the next season.

The video, titled simply 'The Flash | Behind The Season Finale | The CW' was posted by the network. It's just under two and a half minutes long, and features comments from multiple cast members interspersed with shots from the final few episodes and behind-the-scenes moments.

The video includes comments from Candice Patton (Iris), Tom Cavanagh (HR/Harrison Wells), Tom Felton (Julian Albert) and Jessica Camacho (Gypsy). Patton focuses on how Iris took back her power and reversed her season-long position as the damsel in distress in the final scenes with Savitar. Cavanagh and Felton appear together, talking about 'The Once And Future Flash', which Cavanagh directed, and which brought the show back after its spring hiatus. In this segment, the focus is on Julian's place in Team Flash. Finally, Camacho talks about how much she enjoys being on the show.

It's a sweet farewell to another great season of The Flash, and one that gives fans a chance to look behind the camera and get a glimpse of what some of the sets look like swarming with crew members or with screens ready for use as a canvas for visual effects. It's interesting to see the emphasis on characters other than Barry Allen himself, as well -- especially Iris, who is such a huge character in her own right, and HR, who will be dearly missed in season 4.

The Flash returns to The CW with season 4 this fall.
