Thanks to our friends over at ReelComix.com here’s the first poster for X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
While I was initially stoked about the possibility of a Wolverine origin movie, I’ve been getting nervous lately with the onslaught of casting news. I’m afraid that they may cram so many Marvel characters into this that it’ll make Spider-Man 3 look good by comparison.

As far as the poster is concerned, I like it. That’s a great first/teaser for for the movie with the combination of the three claws forming a “W.”
X-Men Origins: Wolverine is set to open on May 1st, 2009.

Looks very similar.
I have to say, I would not have fallen for this. First, the three slashes look too much like they would symbolize the third in a sequel. Steve, you have it exactly right. (Make it diagonal and that would not be the case.) Second, the claws just aren’t right. Mottled, squarish, curved, uneven and short.
Of course, hindsight is 20/20.
I don’t know why, but the first thing I thought of when I saw it was “Jurassic Park.” Weird, huh?

Well principle photography has been completed on this film and according to insiders has a “gritty 70’s look to it.”
Yeah @the old man, this is going to be great !
I hope Mystique is comin in it.. :’)
