Yeah ppnkof, I havnt read all those other books but Swan Song sure stood out as a memorable read. I remember I gave a copy to a friend once he was flying to Germany, he read the entire book on the flight, and told me he couldn’t stop reading it.
Very powerfull story. Great ending.
I’m sure they would screw it up, but it sure would be a intense film,,,

Holy crap! My entire childhood was Robert R. McCammon! Swan Song, Wolf’s Hour, Baal, Gone South, and Stinger were my horror upbringing. (F’ Steven King!) McCammon and Brian Lumely who wrote the Necroscope series. Probably why I was a screwed up kid. And here I thought I was the only one to read that stuff! HA!

I love my Bubba Ho Tep Screener, even the scenes that are in B/W,,,

Yeah.. really enjoyable (and somewhat cheesy) romp.. I really pitied the part when JFK fell off his wheelchair and the mummy attacked him.. Hahaha..

Another era of movies that I liked was the 80s, during the Reagan Administration. TV Series and movies were as politically incorrect as they come. Airwolf shot up Gadaffi’s summer palace compound, remember? And the bad guys are always the Soviets.

I think that’s also another factor that made movies lame eventually.. too much political correctness because of some groups that can’t take things in jest and laugh at themselves from time to time.

I hate remakes and reboots are still reboots.

I loved the Elvis backstory, that covered his sightings and what really happend to Elvis, very creative.
It was also Ossie Davis’s last film before he died.
Really great film !!

HAHAHA!!! Elvis and a black JFK going after an evil mummy.. how’s that for imaginative??

I think those studios should come up with more polished variants of these cool B-movies instead of rebooting franchises or remaking old movies all the time.

How cool would it have been if Bruce was in “The Road” playing “the man” in a serious role for a change,,,!

Bubba Ho Tep was one of his best films IMO !!!!! He makes a great Elvis !

I think the last movie I saw him in was “Bubba Ho-Tep”.

The last time I watched him was with my housemate a few months back, laughing at “This.. is my BOOMSTICK!”

I’m gonna check that,,,
Bruce was hella funny in Comic Book the Movie, and I love his B movie work,,,
I would sure love to see him get into some serious Sci-Fi roles. I know he’s had a few but I don’t see why the studios don’t go after him in a lead role capacity. The guys great.

It’s a post-apocalyptic flick similar to “I Am Legend” or “The Time Machine”.. plenty of gore and stuff, typical of Bruce Campbell B-flicks.

Both stories about a post nuked america.

I’m not sure I will even see “The Road” just too disturbing for me at this time.

It’s from the Lone Wolf and Cub TV series. I think it’s an old series.. feels like it was made in the 70s. That ronin guy just drifts along with his kid in tow. Most of the time in the pram, but sometimes out of the pram. That baby pram is full of hidden weapons that can be used to ambush ninjas.
