  1. I got a little part into that first person Batman and while the idea is good, it just came across as obviously fan made and performed by people with no idea how to act.

    • Yeah, I couldn’t get through it. The moment I saw Batman was wearing jeans I stopped watching.

  2. That makes three of us then.

  3. 4 of us.

  4. And now 5.

  5. … 6!

    • 8

  6. “Some people think it’s EASY being the Dark Knight…”

    That’s a thing?

    • It is for those guys. They proved it correct with their horrendous video.

  7. When are people going to wake up to the fact that the batman story is all about being gay in west virginia? Catwoman, the Joker, Rachel, Hostetler…there are all gay symbols!! Scarecrow is the straight archangel and keeper of the promise, but that’s it. Nightfall will show them.

    • And the award for “Crazy Person Of The Day” goes to…

      Who’s Hostetler again?

  8. I can see Rachel and Catwoman being gay symbols but not Hostetler. Too many loose ends there plus he pulls the cord at the end, definitely not a gay symbol.

    • Wait, is this a gathering of crazy people who make zero sense or is it just me?

      • I’m with you Dazz haha I’m not convinced. but hey maybe they have this elaborate explanation for it.

        • Not only that but this Hostetler character, whoever the hell that is.

  9. De Niro in 70′s makup from the 70′s and 70 today was quite a good comparison… Sergio Leonie obviously had a good makeup team on hand for Once Upon A Time in America

  10. Wow thanks so much ScreenRant!! I consider this a milestone as a film student to have my Batman featured on this site (one of my favorites!). It’s such an honor, and a blessing. Me and my friends really like Batman, and we had such a blast making this project. Thanks for the love!

    • I’d suggest next time, try to actually make costumes that are cheap to create but don’t look like crap on camera (Deathstroke was ok but that one giant cardboard eye put me off and Batman wore horrible looking gloves and needed to lose the street clothes).

Also, your actors need to be able to actually act. I saw the whole thing to see if it got any worse than it was when I could only manage the first 30 seconds the first time and while it was horrendous all the way through, the biggest gripe I had was that it looked like the guys “Batman” was fighting were smiling and not taking it seriously at all.

Acting isn’t all serious but if you’re trying to convey something that isn’t meant to look ridiculous, keeping those smiles at bay helps.

I also didn’t understand why the two guys took the time to drag the third guy away then toss him like trash before trying to fight Batman. The white dude standing behind the camera for much of that fight also had no business being there and it just looked like a slow fight choreography session rather than a fast-paced brawl.

Being in a brightly lit warehouse doesn’t help so maybe next time try a location that could benefit a future Batman video so you can go for the predator style takedowns from the games, creating suspense and the true Batman feel, picking people off from the shadows.

I guess it’s cool for you to feature on this site but the overwhelming negativity in the comments regarding your video says a lot and I thought I’d actually try to help you out with some constructive criticism so you can at least take something away that’s positive since we’re all film fans here and don’t want to be angry complainers all the time, right? :)

  11. Hostetler was only the beginning. Now that Sean Connery has been cast as Alfred the stage is totally set! I’ve already got my tickets on reserve through some friends and I’m waxing up the cowl. But yeah, Hostetler wasn’t the symbol or chosen one.

  12. Thanks for posting Dunhaming!
