The second book would seem better judging from this preview. I wonder how they are going to show the suicidal side of bella in the movie?!? and if we'll hear edward yelling at her hmmm? They missed so much from the first book and movie too.
  • caroluz
not a movie to watch in theater <-- personally speaking.
lucky me, my angel-sent-from-heaven thought the same way :)

but she do love the books version.

New Moon looks so much better then Twilight. I'm a HUGE fan of the books, read all in a month and when I watched Twilight I was a little disappointed. But New Moon is another story! Can't friggin wait!!! Bring it on!

Is there any truth to the rumour that the cast has not signed on to do the final movie of the Twilight series? Can someone enlighten us?
  • Candy

OK, I just woke up after watching that trailer. 8) If they want me interested in seeing this movie, get a better trailer.
  • renee

  • Wulfen
I have *this* to tide over my love of wolves/werewolves?

I mean, I'm married, so I'll have to watch it, but if the werewolves weren't stuck in a teenage romance movie I'd be all over it.
  • Foopher
didn't twilight suck enough for all 4 movies? why make another. it's just a waste of funding
  • Iron Knight
And that crappy wolf is actually supposed to get people anxious? Ha, nice joke...
  • Evie
    @Jago

You'll have to forgive me because I read all the books at once, so one runs into the next. I don't think there were any actual murders in the first book. They begin in the second and that is where you first see the wolves. Pretty sure one (or more) even protects Bella when Edward leaves her and she wanders deeper into the woods.
  • More like "widespread hurling".
  • jago
    @evie
thats the thing... what if they would have killed someone from there tribe or a friend... i'm pretty sure one of the people that died was a friend and they didn't even help. Selfish wolves...
Another thing is if i were that vampire and that wolf attacked me i would just act like i wasn't going to do anything... walk away grab a heavy branch from one of the trees and would've just began to wail on him till peta intervened. Hopefully these bedazzled vampires kill the whole wolfpack for being such a waste of cgi...
  • Tammi
Well it is only the first trailer and they only started filming in Italy a couple of weeks ago which is where a lot of the exciting stuff happens in the story.

You'll just have to wait and see why Edward received a miscommunication about Bella's death which leads him to Italy and then her too. =D Hopefully they'll put it in the movie properly.

The New Moon book is quite good so as long as they follow it or use it at least as a guide we should be good.
  • Evie
@ Jago: The wolfpack is there to protect the tribe and its land, not the surrounding city.
  • Claire
I wanna see this movie not because it's Twilight but because of the director, Chris Weitz. Odd reason, I know, but after spending so much time on obcessing on The Golden Compass, I just like whatever he is doing.

You have to admit, it's a big improvement on the last movie so far.

Also, if I would ever be a director, this is what I would be doing. Directing movies based on young adult literature.
  • Jago
My question is where were this wolf pack in the first movie when the 3 dolce & gabbana vampires were killing off the peope from that town...? Were they all gaga over bella as well...? And i'm sorry but bella looks like she's about to climax throughout half the movie. If i were edward i would have let her die when the van was aboutto hit her... Killed the one guy that went in a blood frenzy in this trailer after bella cut herself and would have been going out with the one girl that was pitching in the first movie. To quote that one dude from the trailer up there... " now she looks... Delicious".
  • Kimmay!
It's looks better then Twilight and i'll be there for the midnight premier (again)!
  • Fenix
thank you I completely agree hopefully those battle scenes will be improved with this next installment. And Shia said something about the movie being darker in general so take that for what it is... This one will be another great summer hit like star trek im stoked.
  • Alot of the humor was funny. John Turrturro's character was certainly a "Jar-Jar Binks" but other than that:

The first hour Shia LaBeouf teen hormone dance = funny
the Anthony Anderson hacker/Swat team strike = funny
Bumblebee "peeing" on Turturro = funny x 2 (hated the character and when is urination NOT funny???)
Ebay and "ladie's man" and learning English of the web = topical and funny
"OMG! This is 100 x cooler than Armageddon!" = TOO funny

Even "Ravage" had his moments (infiltrating Air Force One and kicking ass)

Battle scenes DID need work though.

Oh and MEGAN FOX = better than well-shot fight scenes, character development, good dialogue, or funny humor. My brain can't even process those things when that girl is strutting around the screen with a healthy M. Bay tan on.
  • Richard
Vic I agree with the juvenile humor, the We Found You on Ebay was almost too much for me, but the rest of the movie was good enough for me to overlook most of that stuff.
  • Fenix
But how else could they have translated this to the big screen?? I find it sort of hard to take this to the silver screen with a solid G or PG rating. Everything would have been severely dumbed down and it would not have been as much fun. Fun being the key word... that is what the movie is supposed to be. Thanks for your response tho like I said I am new. Also... I don't think the younger audience will catch the masturbation joke.. unless their parents explained puberty to them at like age 8. I think that Bays target audience were the actual people who played with them as kids who are a little bit more grown up now and wanna see it done with a big budget. Frankly I'm stoked for the new one and maybe they will throw less "juvenile" humor and more adult humor if you will... even tho once again yes I have to say it... its based on toys. I don't think Michael Bay made this movie to bring in the 45+ year old crowd... my two cents
  • @Fenix

LOL, I swear I think I should have my review of Transformers permanently linked off the home page. 8)

I didn't HATE the movie (I gave it 2.5/5), I just thought that the juvenile humor slammed together with the "serious" threat did not work. I also didn't like the shooting style they used during the battle scenes with the robots - I couldn't tell what the hell was going on.

And frankly, I'm sick of the "it's based on a toy" argument. If it's based on a toy and that's the level at which it should be judged, then put the entire movie at that level. DON'T make it "Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of sci-fi action violence, brief sexual humor, and language." That doesn't sound like a movie based on a toy to me - does it to you?

If you want it at a "toy" level then make it rated G or PG, have it take place on an all robot planet where people's lives aren't being put in danger and there are no masturbation jokes.
