Saw this in front of Narnia along with Journey to the center of the Earth. This looks much more promising, but kinda coincidental two underground world kid friendly movies are coming out.

I have a feeling that ‘Ember’ is going to be FAR superior to ‘Journey.’

Funny Vic, I would MUCH rather spend my money on “Journey.” That movie looked adventurous AND funny. IMO.

This looks quit good. And I would also bet my money on this, instead of Journey to the Center of the Earth.

If Bill Murray is in this I’m sure that I’ll catch it, but on DVD.

It was also shot back home in Ireland!

I’ve never heard of this one but it looks fun.

It looks boring and underwhelming to me.

The most intense part of the trailer is Robbins saying “show me” which means this movie is already a box office flop unless they have some actually good trailers coming up

I think the trailer looks awesome! I love how dark and ominous the sets look I think it follows the imagery from the book to a tee. I’m so excited to see the City Of Ember books be made into a real life action/adventure. I love that Bill Murray is playing the villainous Mayor Cole he always brings characters to life like no one else can.
I cannot wait for October 10th!

My name is Blair and I am an official ambassador for City of Ember and I have access to first-look pics of the movie not seen in the trailer, which I would be more than happy to share with you. I would love to have your help spreading the word about City of Ember and get the buzz going!

I hope I’m not over stepping any bounds by posting on your blog.
Hope to speak with you soon.

Best,

Ahh… Next play date with my niece. Yeh, she’ll want to see this one. I’ll enjoy it better than “Harry Potter”, her former favorite for sure.

I was so pumped about this movie until I saw that Tim Robbins was in it. Very few things in this world make me as sick to my stomach as Tim and his not wife. The biggest reason I hope Obama losses is that they promised to leave this country if McCain wins. I’m keeping my fingures crossed. Sorry I went political:(

Yeah so, when I saw this I noticed that Nickelodeon movies has something to do with this. Which is bad, because to avid book readers, they have a knack for screwing them up when it comes to bringing them to the big screen. Case and point, Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, which had an excellent cast, but the entire movie put the sequence of events completely out of order.

Okay, I did some surfing and found out that thankfully Nickelodeon is not involved with this production. I haven’t seen the Narnia movies but I know that they did a better job than other franchise attempts so this one might actually have a good chance.
