Marina,

Thanks for the advice. You know it's funny... I thought there would be a lot more clear-cut advice out there on podcasting for blogs. Searching on Google, I found it difficult to locate any really good resources for a beginner.

Vic,

Show sounds great! As with some of the other comments, mp3 format would be ideal and Audacity is a great free way of editing.

I'm impressed by the clear sound you've achieved, good job.

I use Odeo for our podcasts, helps keep track of plays. The only problem is that you can't upload the file directly to your channel though if you don't mind hosting it yourself, that problem is solved.

We've had to struggle through the do-it-yourself loop which was a bit more difficult since we headed right in with 3 hosts and I think we've finally smoothed out the process. If you ever decide to take this approach and are looking for more info (equipment we use - that was the hardest part!), let me know!

You're well on your way though!

Simone,

I'm hoping to start doing it more often, and if possible weekly, yes.

I just listened to it Vic, and you should do it more often. So will this be like a weekly thing now?

Alex, thanks very much. I like this podcasting thing and the next one will definitely be in mp3 format. :-)

Congrats, the whole world is listening!

For podcasting stick to mp3 enclosures, mov is for video.

Thanks, John. That's just the kind of advice I'm looking for. I just discovered Odeo.com... do you know anything about them? Seems very simple to do a podcast using their web-based program and the also seem to handle the RSS feed side of things.

I'll definitely check out your suggestion though!

Hey there, I'd suggest using Audacity. It works well to record various audio formats plus I believe it is free.

I enjoyed the podcast itself but I doubt I'd keep listening if you keep it as an mov file.

John.
