Players who have been playing Fortnite since the beginning of Battle Royale’s chapter 2 might be familiar with the character Oro. This gleaming gold skeleton that looks vaguely like something out of an Arthurian legend made his first appearance in season 2 of the new chapter. Fast forward now to season 6, and the latest update adds a new character that players might find familiar.
Orelia, the female counterpart to Oro, has appeared on the Battle Royale island for players to discover. She’s a new boss NPC, and she guards a golden assault rifle which is one of the more powerful weapons in the game this season. However, her location might not be the most obvious at first. Here is where players can find Orelia.
How to Find Orelia in Fortnite
The latest update for season 6 has added a few things, and one of the more prominent is a small island off the coast of the Battle Royale map south of Flush Factory. This small location doesn’t contain much by way of structures, mostly the ruins of a small castle. However, it’s what’s inside the ruins that matters.
Inside, guarding an extremely powerful golden assault rifle is Orelia. The assault rifle sits on a pedestal near her, and if a player picks it up, it will trigger Orelia to attack. She has well over three hundred shield points which makes her one of the tougher enemies in the game to take on. She awards a great deal of experience if defeated though. This female golden skeleton is equipped with a Mythic Primal Assault rifle, so she can deal damage extremely quickly. Players need to be on guard if they decide to take her on.
It’s a good idea to head to Orelia’s island early in a match. Since her debut, it seems like every player in a match wants to take her on. However, as expected, because of the popularity of this location, if the player isn’t fighting off Orelia, they’ll be fighting off one of several other opponents who have landed in the area.
It’s possible to avoid fighting Orelia and get her assault rifle by paying 750 Bars. Right now, though, given the density of players heading to this location, it’s unlikely that paying tribute is the ideal way to procure the weapon. One nice thing about the encounter is that Orelia attacks whoever takes her rifle without a tribute. Therefore, a strategy to grab the rifle is to let someone else pick it up, and then team up with Orelia to take them out. Once the opponent is down, other players can pick up the weapon without drawing Orelia’s ire.
Orelia is a fun new character that compliments Oro very well. The addition of her powerful golden assault rifle only sweetens the temptation to visit her island and interact with her. Epic continues to add cool new features to Fortnite, and it’ll be great to see what comes next.
