Dukes of HazzardLord help me, but the trailer for the Dukes of Hazzard movie actually made me smile. :-)

“Dukes” fits the only formula that I believe works for remakes that come from either a prior film or TV show: Use source material that was either:

A. Not that great in the first version.

B. Really cheesy in the original.

The Dukes of Hazzard fits the bill perfectly as far as “B” and many might say as far as “A” as well.

"Follow us if you want to live."

    My reaction was mezzo-mezzo. Jessica Simpson has been way too ubiquitous lately (does she even know what that word means?), and the rest of the cast seems, well, miscast. But for those who are simply looking for an approximately two-hour escape from reality, I’m sure this movie be quite satisfactory.
