After doing some heavy reseach and seeing an unfinished version of the X:men Origins movie, I can confirm that Wade Wilson is the last character that Wolverine fights, as Weapon XI or Deadpool. Though it isn't confirmed in the movie he is indeed Deadpool but is refered to as Weapon XI.

you guys forget that daken has a mohawk, which the can easily change for the movie. but, more importantly that, true daken is weapon xi, he hasn't even finished the process/program. and daken is such a new character that i doubt that fox has even did their research on him or even know who he is. i just sure as hell hope that this " WEAPON XI" is not our beloved merc with the mouth

by the way to you non readers please don't make comments on characters or topics that you admittedlt know nothing of. do you homework 1st....marvel.com. that simple

The character fighting wolverine is quite obviously to me: Daken.Wolverine's wayward homicidal son.If he isnt the one then they played around with his images a lot!The tats, the claws, bald head etc.he actually has 3 claws just like wolverine's but the middle one comes from the under side of his wrist.what i dont get is the optic blasts...daken isnt known for that..

yes it is dead pool,he is the second weapon x experiment...they used wolverine's superhuman regenerative healing factor to cure his cancer but the experiment left him disfigured horribly and making him significantly mentally unstable.those marks could be tumors...as described in the comics...go to wikipedia and enter deadpool to learn more

The Stan Lee said the comic code was simply created as a way to clam to the fears of parents, who at the time thought marvel's comics were too harsh for kids. However the CCA was never really given much atention to the writers of comics and neither from the companies themselves. Basically, the CCA really has no authority

@Rob
Cyclops did loose part of his memory when he was a child (he hit his head and lost his memory of how to control his optic blasts). Is he a child in this movie? If so, then yes, he will loose part of his memory.

There is no longer a magic button for an R rating, I've seen f-bombs and nudity in PG-13 more than once, but really it doesn't matter imho, cause you can have plenty of violence without gore. Marvel comics more often than not were approved by the comics code authority, which I would easily compare with a PG-13.

Not from what I've seen. So many movies get a PG-13 movie with plenty of violence, the only thing they needed to do was keep from showing nudity or using the f-bomb. Gore is the only exception, they have to keep from showing that, but violence doesn't seem to push the ratings. Live Free or Die Hard comes to mind where it is PG-13 despite people getting shot up, blown up, dropped, chopped up, etc. but would become rated R the second the f-bombs are added back in, and the new Terminator Salvation seems like it'll be PG-13 despite all of the violence but if they want that one topless scene, then it will be rated R.

Gore is the only thing that can really change the look of the movie that would push the ratings besides profanity and nudity, and I'm not even so sure that would make a Wolverine movie more enjoyable or not. But that's just my opinion anyhow...

@ Ken,

The R-rating is not for sex or nudity - it's for violence, gore and some nasty language, which is what the Wolverine comics are all about.

Some directors passed on the opportunity to do this movie because they wouldn't do it rated-R.

OMG, can we please get over this whole rating thing? It doesn't have to be M, or R, or anything to be cool. Curse words and movie sex lost their "cool factor" when I was 15. We all already know that PG-13 does not eliminate any violence, just nudity and profanity. Two things that really make no improvement to the movie.
