Just last month, Screen Rant posted a pair of Twilight posters featuring Edward & Bella.
Yesterday, Cinematical got a hold of the newest poster for the Vampire-themed flick based on the successful novels. This is apparently the final poster for the film so for fans of the book series, I hope its enjoyable enough to hold you over until the film is released. :-)
Take a gander and see what you think:
New (and final) Twilight movie poster
Personally, these posters don’t do anything for me. I don’t understand the point of their style – as in the previous posters, Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen looks “mysterious” and Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan has a blank expression.
All the posters for this movie seem way too simple and do not feature anything from the film except the look of the characters (characters who happen to be played by not-very-well-known actors no less).
For larger resolution versions of the poster, head over to Cinematical.
I guess they’re marketing only to those who’ve read the books. Other than through word-of-mouth, I don’t see how this promo material will appeal to the movie-going audiences who’ve not read the novels.
So, have you read the novels? If you’re not familiar with the books, are you interested in seeing the film?
Twilight hits North American theaters on November 21st, 2008 and the U.K. theaters on December 19th, 2008.
