Ah. Yeah... that was one of those Smallville-universe things that kind of bugged me, along with ancient Egyptian and American-Indian references to Krypton.

Funny how they've completely dropped those references on the show with no explanation now that I think about it.

Vic,

I am shooting for the Mandarin; I can even live with Boomerang, but please not Howard Stark.

As far as the Smallville comment is concerned, I love the gray area involving Lionel Luther...I was speaking of evil daddy from beyond the grave, Jor-El....this should have been the part of Brainiac not Superman's Father......just my opinion. :)

Smitty,

I don't really know if Howard Stark will be the baddie or not. I recall that The Mandarin is supposed to be in the film, so I don't know how they will handle the antagonist(s).

In regards to "Smallville" I'm actually enjoying the "grey area" portrayal of Lionel Luthor. :-)

Vic,

Does it still look like Tony's father is going to be the bad guy??? I just don't think I can handle another "My father is Evil" comic book movie....it did not work in the Hulk, it was questionable on Smallville.......As a comic fan I just do not think I can handle it another. There are too many "Bad Guys" in his resume to try a cheap stunt like that.
Please help me understand this.

Smitty,
