  1. I LOVE “Ulysses 31″!!!

    • Awesome show, one of my favorites. Used to watch it when I was in France back in the days. Very inspired character, vehicle and environment design and story. There’s nothing like this on TV nowadays.

  2. The Usurper should have been Leno…

  3. Even when Conan started, when I was a child and he hadn’t yet developed his tremendous ego or told the same jokes for a decade yet, I never would have wanted him to leave a mark on Star Wars, any more than I want Letterman to play some small part in the next Batman. What a stupid idea! I couldn’t get the clip to play, but I hope it was a joke. Granted, Simon Pegg probably got his role because he begged to be given it as a fan, but hopefully it will not be distracting or self indulgent like a Conan reference.

  4. The trek gag is amusing. (Hopefully Transwarp is not in the movie…Same for E.D.). On Picard’s ship there were many gags that you couldn’t see on screen.

    - The huge ship cross section visible in Main Engineering has a few shuttles and a Porche silhouette in the docking bay.
-Various consoles featured numbers that were overt references like 007.
-A topography shot of a planet was derived from an image of the anime “Dirty Pair.”
    - One console, (Data’s seat at Conn, I think) had whole lyrics written out in future text as a warning: “Don’t tug on Superman’s cape, don’t spit into the wind, don’t pull the mask off the old Lone Ranger…”. Jim Croce must have been popular in the 24th century.
-The dedication plaques on every ship tended to list key show personnel like Roddenberry, instead of fictional ship personnel.

On the original show, painted, upside down coffe lids were visible on the walls, but that was just a budget issue.

Best of all, the Bajoran holy symbol, seen in temples and on DS9, was actually an image of the SS Botany Bay, Khan’s ship from “Space Seed”, repeated and rotated around an axis. It’s super obvious if you realize it, but just looks fractal and weird if you don’t.

  5. Of course it’ll cost that much to upgrade your car if you start with a crap-box like that… Just buy a Boss 302 and be done with it…
