Well we have to remember that not everyone in the audience will be able to quote chapter and verse of every marvel comic that had an SS story in it, so the poor movie producers have to make a few compromises for the same folks who are entertained by a WWF Match. If this movie can tell the general story of the FF 48/49/50 trilogy with the originality and awe inspired by the characters with some great effects along the way, I am sure it will be found as entertaining for many.

Yeah, I suppose you're right. Zipping around the universe with it's vast expanses of nothingness could get pretty boring. How often do you run into a guy who bursts into flame AND flys? It would be entertaining. :-)

I do think it was a game of cat and mouse, as the Surfer did see Johnny following him, but didn't opt for the said hyperlight speeds. After getting out of the tunnel, he clearly looked at Johnny and heightened the pace. This to me was a dare for Johnny to follow, and knowing his personality, he would absolutely grab it. Even at the top of the speed we saw in the trailer, I doubt they exceeded a speed of breaking the sound barrier. Johnny didn't catch him, the surfer did. If the Surfer would have wanted, he would've probably vanished in a blink of an eye.

Anyway, this trailer really pulled up my hopes for the sequel to be the better than the first.
