Well I would hope Wyatt's form of retaliation is a boycott of all FOX movies. Especally the lame remakes...

Old Man, you should see this town (hollywood), there's stickers all over everything.
It wouldn't bother me too much to see a few Watchmen smiley's here and there. 8-) 8-)

No, I don't think 790 mentioned that. I was referring to his statement about covering up all the Fox posters with signs that read "who watches the watchmen?" He didn't say they will be stickersper-se, but he has to attach them to the posters some way, whether they be self-adhesive stickers or just signs held on with tape... Either way I think he's both wasting his time and potentially doing something that could get him in trouble. I just think it's not a very smart thing to expect a major company to do what he wants through intimidation...

"Watchmen fans are not regular comic fans. We’re f**king crazy. There will be retaliations if they keep this nonsense up."

Well Ken J I want to say this. I'm not accusing you of anything, I just made a general statement. From your post I Gather you took it personally. You brought it to our attention and now its clarified on both sides so yes we can be done with it! I do want to say that my post in no way implies that anyone should deface anything. To do something like I described would mean making the sticky backs weak enough to be removable there are several glue or resinous materials that could be used for that purpose. To make them like that with a message calling for social action is responsible action. Responsible action is also using good judgment as to when and where to place them. I can't speak for 790's intent by suggesting stickers be made, but in discussion or action planning, ideas are thrown about to find a solution that works.

The way I see the whole FOX not developing "Watchmen" is a classic example of having more on your plate than you can handle. They've had mixed success with these properties too. Who can say how much or how often they took it and passed it around the studio for someone to propose an actionable plan to make it. How many plans and or treatments of the material execs considered is unknowable here too, unless an insider is willing to step forward. It's a good question no doubt, but one that can only be speculated about at this point.

I don't watch mainstream news on TV, because you can never get the full story through them. All of their reporting are spun by the network's political bias. And no, it's not usually in the direction of O'Reilly, Foxnews is on their own in an ocean of the complete opposite in terms of major tv networks...

Well 790, you watch O'Reilly a whole hell of a lot more than I do then. I think I've probably seen his show a total of like 10 times in my life, and all of them only to watch him yell at people on camera and shut off their microphone because he usually gets these really stupid guests just to make fools of them in the most unprofessional way possible, lol.

And if you think I'm not politically correct, I personally don't give a care. If someone is going to try to intimidate someone else into doing what they want, I will point out the similarities to what the definition of terrorism is. If you actually expect me to worry about being politically correct, then you just don't know me. I speak frankly, matter-of-factly, I don't really care to change my tone to be more "friendly" and less harsh, I feel that is dishonest. If you meet me in real life, you'll see this, if I dislike you, I will tell it to your face.

I don't know why you're treating this guy like he's doing anything special or unique. Trashing the party that they think is responsible for something they don't like is the first instinct of an impulsive fool who doesn't think real hard about morals, ethics, or consequences. He's an idiot, regardless of how wrong Fox is. If he gets caught he should be treated like the criminal that he is. That's my opinion.

Wyatt never mentioned any attacks of volience from what I read posted here.
Worst is he's covering up some annoying posters with Watchmen sickers, what's the problem ??? 8-)
(Yeah let's throw him in the pokey for being a passionate fan) if anything somebody should give him a blanket and a thumbs up !! ;-)

Ken J, your right, you typed, "simalarities of Terrorism" based on the word "Retaliation".
(Same thing Bill O'Riley does daily)

The quick use of the word "Terrorist" in that example, reminds me of the Witch Hunts, back in Midevil times.
I wouldn't throw that word around like that,,, (IMO)

I wouldnt be surprised if there were more then a few projects in hollywopod that have been in turnaround longer then 25 years.
when a studio cant figure out how to make a film they usally let it just sit there.

Yah, but like you said, they got it like 25 years ago right? So is it normal to just keep that connection but not do anything with it for 25 years? I think it shows they had no intention of ever doing anything with it anyway. But that's just my opinion, maybe I'm not understanding the whole process but that's just how it looks like to me since it's been so long.

Anyway, regardless of whether or not Fox is in the wrong or right, someone wanting to vandalize their property is definitely the wrong way to go in my opinion...

@Ken J

Putting projects in "turnaround" is a very common and time-honored practice in Hollywood. It's a way to free up a property while still keeping a string attached to it.

OK, I never said it was terrorism. Any further comments that makes that assumption just shows an inability to read or comprehend the English language. It doesn't benefit either party for me to waste any time defending myself from a straw man argument. :-)

But just to address something you said, "responsible social action." What Fox is doing is pretty stupid, if they really had rights to it, why didn't they ever make a movie out of it? And if they were never planning to, why would they bother holding on to those rights? Why not just offer to sell the rights instead of trying to prevent the movie's release? There's obviously another reason for their actions. BUT, some wacko going around VANDALIZING posters is not anywhere close to responsible social action. Authentic movie posters usually sell for well over $100. Plastering stickers over them is vandalism. And before you say "most theaters have the poster behind a case..." plastering the theater's case with stickers is also vandalism at worst, but just an irresponsible thing to do in general.

They are BOTH stupid.

Responsible social action isn't terrorism. We all know where the dividing line is, It's etched into history. Just like everything else, Their are rules for this sort of thing. BREAK Them and you find yourself in the middle of another game, with another set of rules. Hate when that happens! :(

LMAO, no, this isn't an act of terrorism, I said similarities. Meaning they are expecting Fox to do something out of fear of their "retaliation." He said it himself. That's like me saying, you do something or else we will do something really bad to your family, and as a gesture to show you I'm serious, I'm going to slash the tires on your car.

Kind of like blackmail but through the use of intimidation. Blackmail usually involves money and a threat to expose something about the person they are trying to influence, so that's why I didn't just say blackmail.

But hey, if you don't see how they are trying to intimidate someone into doing something even though the guy said it himself, I guess it isn't my problem... Nobody's threatening me, so I can care less. I just think this guy's plan is going to backfire...

And it's funny you'll mention the media, if I were influenced by the media, wouldn't it be going the other way??? lmao :-D

Um, their actions could probably make Fox's efforts to shut down The Watchmen to INCREASE out of spite. I'm sure they have more tan enough money to feel like they need to succumb to the actions of a few fanatics.

Basically this guy expect them to act out of fear of their "retaliation." Um, does anyone see the similarities to terrorism or am I just imagining things?
