Screen Rant was fortunate enough to send a couple of our Chicago based writers, Rob Frappier and Mike Eisenberg, to last weekend’s Chicago Comic & Entertainment Convention (C2E2). They took a video camera, a notepad and a determination to bring our readers some great footage and interesting stories. They succeed on all fronts.
Right now, one of the most popular stories on Screen Rant is about Kevin Conroy talking about Christian Bale’s Batman voice with a less than impressed attitude. It’s a great video and great insight from the guy who voices the animated Batman; if you haven’t watched it yet, then do so after you finish this game. Our boys also got to sit in on a Marvel Animation Panel with Joe Quesada and Josh Fine talking about their upcoming projects, including the 2nd season of The Super Hero Squad.
Undoubtedly one of the best parts of any sci-fi or comic book convention has to be the plethora of geeks and nerds that are brave enough to dress up in their favorite superhero or supervillian outfit and hang out on the convention floor ALL DAY LONG! Yes, these intrepid guys and gals range in age from 11 to 80 and most seem to be able to overcome their terminal shyness by hanging out in large groups.
Today we have a sort of a game for you to play and I had fun putting it all together. Mike E. took some “B roll” footage of the C2E2 floor and people standing in line, and I couldn’t help but notice all the different costumes (some good and others laughable).
THE GAME: watch the 3 minute video below and see how many different character costumes you can spot. To help you in your quest, I’ve made a guide to show you all the original characters that I spotted. There is a list of the character names below as well.
I found 36 and saw a few more that I couldn’t recognize; did you see any that I missed? Don’t worry if you can’t find a certain character in the video that I have on the list. I have all the answers and will be happy to tell you where to look if you leave a comment below :-) .
Have you ever been to one of these type conventions and have you ever dressed up to attend one (be honest)?
