In other words, they want some of the money it will earn off of their dead father…

Matt K says:

I really hope this gets resolved b/c I definitely want to see this movie.

It’s disgusting that these people are more concerned with making money than with getting King’s message more exposure.

Gary says:

I hope they work it out .
Its sad they cant see this as a real opportnity to spread their fathers message and honor him at the same time.

John "Kahless" Taylor says:

This is soo sad. MLK fought for racial equality and brought about a near era in this great nation. His children should be ashamed at what they are doing. When my paternal grandfather died, my aunts and uncles were squabbling over who would get what. I was soo upset with them I just went to my grandfathers grave and apologized for their lack of compassion. This man was argubly the greatest Afro-American who ever lived and to have his children arguing over this is just….well, it just brings tears to my eyes.

Matt Keith says:

John Taylor,

I completely agree w/ you on that.

Ken J says:

Yep, it’s unfortunate that the genes he passed on was not enough to make his children as great as he was…

Daniel F says:

So Their father was a hero a man fighting for something he truly believed in, equality. A man fighting for what he thought was right and standing up to what he thought was wrong. Someone with true convictions and what are they doing? Fighting over money and property. Maybe the apple does fall far from the tree maybe a few states over from it.

Sad and pathetic is what it is.

Andy S says:

It’s weird to see everyone on this board that usually has so many various opinions to actually agree that this is pathetic. I can’t believe they’re squabbling over this. Sounds like the kids are more like Al Sharpton than their dad.

Ken J says:

We don’t have anybody great fighting for equal rights anymore. Now it seems everyone’s solution to racism is reverse racism. Two wrongs don’t make a right. MLK wanted true equality, and that’s what made him great.
